I didn't want to mess up the thread about the investors conference call tomorrow morning so I am starting another thread. For once, it appears that the shorts may have missed this. And it could be a big miss. How many weekends I dreaded Monday mornings always feeling like the shorts were always a step ahead. So I am wondering how someone that is short is feeling right now. It's going to be a tough night for them for a change. It's about time.

But we are assuming that it must be good news since it's Monday premarket....but there's always that something with MNKD that makes the "norm" not normal....I hope that you are right and the shorts are toast since most long time longs have been beaten down so long it has to be our turn to gloat. |

Well, I'll believe it all only when the news is out, AND the stock has jumped AND remains there or thereabouts by the end of the day.
Never underestimate shorts. Just be pleased when they're wrong.

But we are assuming that it must be good news since it's Monday premarket....but there's always that something with MNKD that makes the "norm" not normal....I hope that you are right and the shorts are toast since most long time longs have been beaten down so long it has to be our turn to gloat. This is what I am worried about too. Do they want to make us think it is good news? Or is it actually good news. Is it good news but not great news and thus market will still tank the stock? It's happened to me so many times since pre-approval that I am jaded and trying to suppress my excitement. Maybe just once the tide will turn! |

There's nothing in it for anyone to fool us into thinking it's good news and it not being good news, maybe other than those who might purchase in foreign markets based on the scheduled CC. The odds are strong that it is good news on the FDA front, the devil will be in any other news that is released. If it's all good, we've got a laser beam happening here.

There's nothing in it for anyone to fool us into thinking it's good news and it not being good news, maybe other than those who might purchase in foreign markets based on the scheduled CC. The odds are strong that it is good news on the FDA front, the devil will be in any other news that is released. If it's all good, we've got a laser beam happening here. But, ATM, it's us actually speculating that it's good news since it's not after Friday or after Monday's close....*sigh*...the conditioning we get for being MNKD longs....can't even really enjoy it.... |

You will have to say for some one short recently after reverse split and under $1 .. but that crowd is very less as you can see from the short interest...
But for the crowd that went short $2 plus pre split , I don’t think they are scared yet unless it opens at 10+ and runs from there as this keeps going into 3 or 4 or 5 there will be plenty of Longs that will sell including me to trim my position after being beaten up so much

If price opens at 3.50 and holds the gap of 1.33, expect price to go another $1.33. In this example, 3.50 plus 1.33 = 4.88.
However, who knows with this short volume and/or news.

label change has been on the calendar for a while and mike has seemed optimistic about it happening more than a few times. We had a run up on no news just like many other times before. What are the shorts supposed to be afraid of?

If the news is good enough to bring about a long runway of funding, and in a desirable manner, the demand for long shares will rise.

Ok late night spec but tomorrow could be more than label announcement. If a deal or runway plan was agreed but contingent on new and right label approval then tomorrow could be quite interesting.

Most rational scenario is vote for increased share allotment for dilutive purposes. |
