Overall I would say today's news was neutral at best (leaning towards bad). Afrezza failed to get the most important (or at least most anticipated) change to "ultra rapid". Imo just being able to show oneset times doesn't change much. This info was already accessible to anyone who did 5 minutes of research. A label of "ultra rapid" would put afrezza in a class by itself giving prescribers more ammo to justify rxing it. On top of that, Mike still refused to fully address the insolvency issues. Mike seems too cautious to appease investors but not what's best for the company. We will see shortly if he's either a genius or has no idea what he is doing. I don't think Mike and the gang really expected to get the "ultra" classification. It was a long shot but worth trying. Sales reps now have more leeway in what they can say. Making the deal on the warrants is a significant help on the money side. This seemed like a net positive news day, not a home run maybe but a solid base hit. Market seemed to agree though we'll see more in the coming days.

Ouch, nice try shortie Argue a point... unless you have some knowledge of someone's stock holdings, don't make up some personal attack like this.

It's hilarious how any negative criticism or showing disappointment can label you as a "shorty". I guess to some people, MNKD can never do wrong. I just can't grasp this concept. I am critical with everything I do so why wouldn't you be critical about a company you have money in?

Many things have seemed rigged against them in addition to bad luck. IMO todays label was far better than I had expected. I for one never wanted afrezza to be called "Ultra Rapid". afrezza is not an analog and Ultra always compared it to the RAAs. Instead, they got actual times on the label which mimic natural pancreatic insulin release. Nothing can or ever will do better than natural release . With this label they can now compare it to the natural function of the body with an insulin which is the exact same insulin released by the pancreas. afrezza ain't no slow analog.

"This info was already accessible to anyone who did 5 minutes of research." The new label allows marketing 'ultra rapid' activity; representatives can walk providers through the data, which is more important than the descriptor.

Yeah maybe it did double, but for most longs, we are still deep in the red.

If it is unwarranted criticism you should have an easy time countering his view. Certainly the audience here tends to skew towards wanting optimistic posts.

Yeah maybe it did double, but for most longs, we are still deep in the red. When that stuff happens to me, I know who to blame. I have to blame myself. I make my own decisions. I decided to get in. I decided to stay in. Then I have to live with my choices. Great. But how angry can we be at our wonderful selves. There has to be someone to blame. hmmmm

I think Baba and I had decided it's easier to blame someone else. I just forget who we decided on. It might have been that Australian guy. I think I was proposing him because he's so far away there's less chance he'll sneak up on me to confront me... to get here he'd have to cross the water, big water, ocean water.

Yes, brewguy i am right there with you (deep in red still) but your appearance on this board has coincided with a nice run, so thanks for showing up and please stay. You have a right to your perspective even if negative, it's been a tough road. You're just calling it like you see it, same as DBC and others who sometimes unfairly get questioned about being a short. The way i see it, if MNKD can turn this ship around and get folks like you (and me too for that matter) feeling bullish, then we really will have something to celebrate. There are plenty on this board who seem to me irrationally positive all the time, but it is my hope to one day tell them, "my bad, you were right all along!"

Brewguy is right. There are a lot of investor well underwater with MNKD. Of course, a lot of them are hidden because are ashamed of their average. If i'm not wrong (probably i'm) MANN GROUP average is $25. So, do they have something to cheer about this run up¿? Stock is up, but still a long way before a lot of us can recover and do some money.
What about those investors that bought shares on ADCOM and have no money to avg down?
That said, this "small" run up is good and we all hope can keep going.

The stock price is up more than 400 percent in the last five months, so that sounds like the ship turning around to me. I credit Mike with the turnaround (after he inherited an almost impossible situation caused by the Sanofi sandbagging).
