Wish I would have bought more last Friday! I'm sure someone has pointed this out, but we are well above pre-split price, which at least feels pretty nice

based on what i see the squeeze hasn't even started yet, majority of large short entry points happened at much higher pps and i doubt they are ready to close out positions below a dollar pre-split. They may be responsible for the higher call option volume though. When and if a real short squeeze starts this run will look paltry. I hope you are correct. Based upon the roughly 30-35 million shares that will have traded the past few days, what would be your guess as to how many shares maximum were short covered?

Nice to see this morning, again! Let's hope momentum continues. If Mike has any more news up his sleeve, this would be a great time to let it be known and really blow the lid off this. Cheers.

I'm still very much underwater but it feels good to see the price action moving in the right direction. I hope this new label change means good things for the company and for Afrezza. Maybe the drug will become what we all believed it would be after all. Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't point out "F You, Sanofi!"
Another observation: Even after the run up this week, MNKD still has a market cap at next to nothing for a Big Pharma looking to pick up an acquisition. $360 million-ish now is still a drop in the bucket for the big boys in the space. I think the label change may have turned some heads, but I still don't think it's Amgen. LOL.

Ok keep in mind this is just a guess, but probably only around 5M if that. The majority of shares making up our total short interest were shorted way above this PPS, were talking somewhere around the $25 dollar level (and higher) and they will wait until the financial position of the company is resolved in the meantime hedging themselves with call options. Take a look at the naked short report - we are STILL at some of the highest levels of shorting going on daily even during this run. nakedshortreport.com/company/MNKD

I was guessing the same, around 5 million max.

I am guessing mnkd is caught up in some option maelstrom, which is all good, nice to be going up for a change.
If it goes up to $5, might be a good time for mnkd to sell 100 million shares, pay down some debt and use the remainder to extend the runway for a couple years.
Success or failure ultimately depends on script sales, luckily Afrezza is a top-notch product, and if it's on the market long enough, it will dominate.
Just paying down debt and extending runway might be enough to drive shorts out and attract investors, which might even offset the dilution.

How often do companies close with 20+% back to back? If listed on the top gainers it would bring more attention to Afrezza. I would also suspect that this attention can compound the advertisement efforts because everyone can relate to the topic of diabetes. If this were a stock with about some fancy new computer few would be interested but when you hear best in class treatment for a disease that affects 10% of the american population shit gets interesting real fast.

i dont think the company is in a position to pay off debt, unless it helps them gain better credit. We are still not profitable.
The next few weeks of Rx numbers will help us determine if this new label is really going to change the company. Otherwise....
