Today was so much fun...let's do it again tomorrow, eh? Here is my thought. Based on what occurred in October, the price will probably consolidate a bit tomorrow. Then during sometime next week, there will another leg up with good volume with a one-day increase of $1 or more. From your lips to... I've got some May $3 calls, so hopefully I don't miss out on selling as I did with my just expired worthless $2.5 Jan calls.

Hard resistance 5 dollars, through that $6.68. This is huge volume coming in. 27.5% of shares outstanding traded today. after hours volume is strong. I am looking for a continuation, no matter what the script count is. Buy every dip.
Compound, I regard no ones words higher than yours; I hear you.
Hourly chart today.

Huge implied volatility. Likely because... the darn stock is so volatile. That and options market makers are like the ones that really made the money in the gold rush... the ones that were selling overpriced shovels and picks. Hmmm... should I buy a few more shovels and keep digging? Has to be gold eventually, right?

So. The stock is up 41% on the day.... and my miniscule number of 2019 long call options are down 31%. Great. I don't think I will ever completely understand options.

With call options there can be a big difference between whether your broker is reporting the value based on "last trade" or on "bid". My broker confusingly uses both of these... so in my list of options it can show one change for the day and yet that isn't reflected in the total portfolio summary for the day. Though it still seems very odd that your calls are showing down today. Maybe you should call your broker and have them walk you through why that is showing up that way. Rest assured 2019 call options are worth more today than they were yesterday.

And the option quotes I see show that nearly all the 2019 calls went up in price today (a couple showed no trades and so a 0% price movement). None went down. So IMO you must be looking at bad data. The only way I can imagine why you might see your options down is if the 2019 calls you own have not traded in quite a while. In that case, maybe your brokerage account screen is showing a decline in price since they last traded, maybe weeks or months ago, when the price was significantly higher? But I doubt any of them failed to trade for such a long period.

But I doubt any of them failed to trade for such a long period. I own the $5 2020 calls. They traded between $1.80 - $1.70 today. But Fidelity shows my calls at a price of $0.60 because that was listed as the bid price. In the morning my account should reflect the $1.70 last trade until trading starts on Friday. Fidelity always shows the bid price for the options.

You might want to check to see if your brokerage offers a real-time app that displays bid/ask/last. I use Scottrade and I usually logon to my account, start up the app, then logout. The app stays active so when the stock market opens and I can watch the action with less than a 10 second delay as I switch between my accounts and watch lists. Hopefully you don't have to pay for tools like this.

How much More is Mannkind Corporation worth since the January Options expiration a couple days ago? Do we include all of the shares or just the shares issued? Someone help me with the math; my abacus is broken.

Someone help me with the math; my abacus is broken. Hopefully not all of the authorized shares will be issued, but I imagine if people are doing worst case analysis they might consider hitting the authorized limit again. It does seem highly likely we will see some additional dilution. I think anyone that tells you they can predict how much is simply blowing smoke.
