MannKind should go it alone. Sanofi nearly bankrupted the company. If BP buys it, there is no assurance they won't bury Afrezza.

There is blood in the water and he knows this. He will stick with this and be known. This could legitimately end up being his legacy. No way you quit feet from the finish line..

Go it alone Michael C. It will take longer, with hardship and hard work along the way, but in the end the accolades and payout will be worth it, and Al Mann would be so proud of the accomplishment of reaching diabetics worldwide with Afrezza.

I don't think shareholders would approve Sanofi, regardless of Price. lets sell to their biggest competitor for Al's original price and bury those bastages. ๐๐ธ๐บ๐ธ

Do I really have to point out that Mike doesn't have the power to sell the company? That would be up to the BoD and the shareholders -- and this shareholder would certainly vote against any buyout offer.

I disagree. Al sold his other inventions/businesses. MNKD has many more opportunities with the pipieline. If Afrezza is sold, I hope we will still receive an ongoing royalty, in addition to $5B upfront.

No Bocca. I disagree 100%. Besides, Al Mann is no longer with us. It's a different world now, and when Al was with us, he sold his other business from a position of strength obtaining maximum profit. MNKD has not reached this juncture yet, Michael C knows this, also is aware that we have the golden goose, and it would be insane to sell now. Your logic for selling makes no sense whatsoever.

Al built, he healed, and he sold, and moved on to do it again! But itโs not time yet:-) Mike's taking this all the way down the yellow brick road! IMO......He loves his job:-)

I don't even think Al planned to follow his previous playbook with Mannkind. He didn't put his name on any of those other companies. I know someone that worked closely with Al and I get the sense from him that Al wanted MNKD to stay independent and be one of his ongoing legacies. Though of course I think Al was pragmatic enough that everything has its price. Let's revisit the buyout issue in about 2 years
