For the past month, Mannkind has been advertising for 14 Publicis Touchpoint Solutions Pharmaceutical Territory Business Manager positions across the country. They are back to the Rent-a-Salesforce tactics. I believe this is the same contract sales company that they previously used. www.jobs.com/jobs/search?q=mannkind&where=&lat=&lon=>=&pg=1Did I miss something? The Touchpoint jobs are not listed on the Mannkind website. Is this part of a new marketing strategy for the new label?

Perhaps using touchpoint to test new markets. They can always convert them to mannkind employees like in the past.
Also of note a lot of the positions were posted 31 days ago right after label change.

Interesting...
This personnel recruitment thread raises a question: Aside from the reality that that's where they are now, is there any compelling reason for Mannkind to maintain their headquarters in Southern California? Since they sold their old building and are now leasing space, are there locations around the country where they would be able to attract solid workers who are less expensive AND otherwise reduce the cost of their operations (while maybe even getting some tax abatement ?)
Just curious about other thoughts on this...

Not sure how many employees they actually have in Thousand Oaks ("TO" in these parts), but my guess is not too many, and likely most live in the area, have worked for MNKD a while and likely have fairly deep roots here. Mike used to work just down the 101 freeway a piece, so.... likely not moving, and likely no big savings by moving. California state income tax is high, but I believe you still need to have income to qualify.

Well Mr. Oriley, those Cali people continue to flock over the border to lost wages....no state income tax, can get from one end of the valley to the other at rush hour within about 45 min. as opposed to hours upon hours on those freeways a piece, and less "shaky" ground....hell even one of their football teams are heading over ....would be a nice spot for the second manufacturing facility down the road, great distribution hub here geographically from a left coast perspective of course

Or hire them to keep sales going until an entirely new sales force takes over?
