I would be especially surprised to see (or hear about) an ad here in Baltimore. I think Mannkind Corporation already knows the amount of resistance encountered here by several large hospitals over the black label on the product. There is even resistance within the GBMC hospital endo group that participated in the Afrezza studies except for their lead investigator there. Franklin Square hospital endo group is a little more open to the product, but their lead pharmacist doesn't recommend the product yet; so they are very reluctant to prescribe it. Union Memorial hospital endo group only prescribes Afrezza to Type 1 patients who don't comply with injecting insulin, or the patients who are not vigilant taking care of their diabetees.
On a side note: every doc I have talked to about Afrezza uses insulin as a last resort for their Type 2 diabetics, simply because of patient resistance to taking insulin, any stigma to taking insulin, and the docs think pills and injectable non-insulin (especially Victoza) are much better options to using insulin for Type 2s.
Sorry to burst anyone's bubble about this information. If Afrezza's label were to improve even more, this might help the situation substantially.

Most are aware of the challenges that have existed and that they are now gradually fading. No bubbles are burst.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble about this information. If Afrezza's label were to improve even more, this might help the situation substantially. actually, you just described the battle, who would have thought? I can get more specific. quote: resistance encountered here by several large hospitals over the black label on the product. reply: let's look at the black label. WARNING: RISK OF ACUTE BRONCHOSPASM IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC LUNG DISEASE See full prescribing information for complete boxed warning afrezza.com/wp-content/uploads/Prescribinginfo.pdf
I'll come straight to the point. ever heard of ANYONE DYING OF ACUTE BRONCHO SPASM? If you were ever a cigarette smoker, you didn't learn to inhale smoke with out having an acute bronchospasm or two. (In that context, what a crock of chit)
in regard to the point you make, There is even resistance within the GBMC hospital endo group that participated in the Afrezza studies except for their lead investigator there. Franklin Square hospital endo group is a little more open to the product, but their lead pharmacist doesn't recommend the product yet; so they are very reluctant to prescribe it. Agreed: this is were push is going to come to shove here. The commercial advertising has to take us there with the 20% of lives that are covered, in the 1.5 million type ones, we need 2000 scripts a week. check my math and report back. Type two, they will shut down your vascular and liver before they will pay for inhaled mealtime insulin..... so far anyway.

really? I wonder though even though it’s national TV whether the advertisements might only be regional?

His tweet says hes from NV a regional market being targeted. The slides said the commercial would be on the NFL. So would say regional.
Happy thanksgiving all!
