"The man with the firehose and the wet blanket."
Well, Sports, I'll consider a part of that a compliment (yup, the wet blanket), but as to the "firehose," well, that is somewhat of an exaggeration, but, heck, as long as we're on a stock message board, just about anything goes!
mannmade sighting!! Ahoy, mannmade, ahoy! Been adrift for too long? Come back to port, there are wenches up and down the docks longing for your return! But careful you don't run aground, the harbor is tricky.
There's just nothing but fun to be had here, nothing but fun! Someday, I'm thinking more than just fun, but until that day, these comments of mine are not much worse than many of the other posts.

I played that game 1-2 years ago and learnt to hate this stock, not the product. The only thing that would make me buy any more shares is a partnership or a significant rise in scripts due to a catalyst. Both are not likely short term with the present information. It seems that MNKD has to show a steady raise of scripts to a signficant level all by themselves before any big pharma will move a finger to give them a call. One of the 2 hugely bad investments in my portfolio.

IMO Mike has learnt from this.

I hope they can pull it off alone, tell BP to suck an egg. GO MANNKIND Happy Thanksgiving Everybody ππ¦ I believe the type of partnership they are looking for would be one that gives them equity. This might be an international partner who has rights to distribute Afrezza in a specific area or country. Many Wall Street companies like MannKind have set aside treasury shares to allow for a buy in so that the company gets equity. A recent example is a company called Mazor robotics who allowed medtronics to buy a 15% share. Medtronic is going to do US sales and marketing for the company. Our evil nemesis Sanofi did this very successfully with Regeneron Sanofi can only own up to 20% of the company. Look at their stock versus Sanofi. I believe that Mike and the board of directors know what mistakes were made in 2014 in an effort to get cash with a fast partnership. My outside or view shows that we have a team that understands how Wall Street and partnerships work. In 2014, I donβt believe that Al or Haken understood. Perhaps it was because Al made all the decisions.

Exactly what Al Mann age 90 was thinking when he made the Sanofi Deal.

Does that include a significant other in your plan?

Does that include a significant other in your plan? Don't have a SO anymore -- maybe my MNKD riches will attract one (some day).

Breaks are hard to come by in this stock. Interestingly, one break we got was the need to raise money, and that meteoric rise to the high $6's - didn't last long, but hey, there it was for people to take advantage of, rather than talk about why we didn't do it at $10, and how great it will be at $25 before long. Another bad break - apparently, and, you know, one hears a lot of things, so can't vouch for the accuracy of this, Sports was all lined up, after exchange of various emails, CV's, photos, etc., to be interviewed by Charlie Rose.... Many probably didn't sell at $6 because they were thinking how far away from that $10 (now equiv of $50) it was. Of course some were not only not selling at $6, but buying up more shares. I didn't sell at 6 because - I could see no real reason for the sharp rise in the PPS and thought maybe someone knows something and a deal was on the horizon. And with my luck something would have been announced as soon as I sold. Wrong again. Hindsight being 20/20 - I should have sold as soon as Kent Kresa bought shares - because that would signal "nothing material" was on the horizon and once again - The shorts won big.

Slug, the bolded are my thoughts almost exactly. What I know believe is that the "other shoe" to drop was that we were actually in the middle of a somewhat orchestrated run so as to afford MNKD the chance to raise funds at a very good share price. The Kresa buy did not bother me in the respect it did you, because he could have agreed to do that well before the offering actually happened, at a time when insiders could trade (He could have agreed, in writing, "I will buy $1,000,000 worth at the time the offering is made, for whatever the price of the offering is.") And, by the way, how about a nice script count tomorrow!!!
