Joey, any weight loss yet? I am only asking because it has been reported. (Sweedee's dad, blindhog) I'll give you the official weight loss after my follow up visit next Friday but I believe it should be in the 5-7 lb range....ok salads for the next week lol

Thanks Liane, it might not be "liquid" gold but it certainly is the "dry powder" gold (standard) in my book! Considering I only rec'd the Libre the first week of Jan. is also key, today is day number 10 on this sensor so I have to change it, the only draw back to the Libre is the 12 hr. "reset" time it takes before you can get your next reading after putting the new one on....lol I'm spoiled on not having to do the finger sticks

So I had my new labs done last Thurs. and just got my results this am. after 2 1/2 mos. on Afrezza my HbA1c dropped 2.9 pts. and this after having stopped any Metformin and not using any Basal. What's also interesting is that my cholesterol numbers improved as well. My follow up visits with my Primary and Endo should be very interesting, especially because I invited the local rep to come to the follow up with me next Friday, she's been trying to get into this office for awhile and they have made it very difficult....well they can expect a surprise visit, can't stop me from inviting her to my next visit Joey,
You hit the Holy Grail of why Afrezza is different. This is what Dr. Kendall needs to prove out in future studies.
NOT USING ANY BASAL..... as a T2D that is amazing and what Al Mann had said about the product but the Label does not state it and the FDA does not recognize it.

Joey - awesome news! How is the Libre working out? Are you still using it or do you have the afrezza pattern down to where you no longer need it?

I don't leave home without it, it has a reserved spot in my pocket...metabolic process is a complicated one....sometimes you think one way and it throws the curve ball that even Willy would swing and miss at 😉

Ironically, on the eve of Thanksgiving, I received my first package of Afrezza that I've waited to get since Feb of last year. Without going into too much detail I just want the board to know that I cannot be more impressed by the cohesive team at Mannkind from top down that made this possible. Also special thanks to Sports for helping me connect with one of the area managers that helped as well. I took my first 4 units ever and it was as easy as advertised, and not even the slightest tickle in my throat...in fact as I'm sure others have done, I had to look at the cartridge to evidence it was used. In a few weeks the Libre should be available and I have already signed up for it with Abbott so I will hopefully be on my way to constant monitoring and control of my BG. What's even better is that we had to select our option for insurance for the coming year and it looks like I will end up with Express Scripts so ADIOS UHC!! My take away and impression of the network in the sales area that is being developed by the company is that they are team players that communicate instantaneously and believe wholeheartedly in the product and the future of it and the company as well. My area rep was extremely helpful and actually went to my provider within hours to help with their understanding not only how urgent the situation was but referred me to the right pharmacy which maintains it in stock at all times....once the script was sent to the pharmacy, it was filled and at my doorstep within a few hours. It certainly is going to be a special Thanksgiving for my family as well as me personally knowing that I can say goodbye to Mr. Metformin while taking a much better approach to attacking my T2 diabetes. Thank you MIke C. & Team!!! and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who have continued to support Al's vision, I know for a lot of you that you started it as an investment but also have endured quite a bit through the process. Without the investors continuing the fight, I'm not sure I would have received my Afrezza on the eve of this Thanksgiving. I sincerely believe the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter. I had to go back to the beginning of this thread to remember how it all started. And there is Sports in the middle of things I should have known "Also special thanks to Sports for helping me connect with one of the area managers that helped as well. When the "Story Of Mannkind" is written ... will they be quoting Extra Nasty Women verbatim?

I had to go back to the beginning of this thread to remember how it all started. And there is Sports in the middle of things I should have known "Also special thanks to Sports for helping me connect with one of the area managers that helped as well. " She is just doing her JOB as a unpaid employee of MannKind..... When, or if, she files for her overtime pay $MNKD is doomed to bankruptcy and the shorts will have been vindicated at last. Don't do it Sports.
