Spiro is back from another incredible trip to Vegas. The highlight of the trip was a great dinner meeting with joeypotsandpans along with his incredible son and 3 hockey guys. It didn't take Spiro too long to notice that joeypotsandpans was a high carb consuming hockey fan, after he immediately attacked the delicious looking bread basket. Even though Spiro is a bread loving Greek, he steadfastly refused to join the hot bread eating group of non diabetics except for joeypotsandpans. After dinner, Spiro and joeypotsandpans clicked their Dreamboat inhalers together and puffed the miracle drug Afrezza. What an end to a great dinner.
Meanwhile, back in Miami, after Spiro returns home, he notices his fully decorated Christmas tree outside in the side yard. It was only later that Spiro found out that the tree had a Preying Mantis egg pod that hatched while he was away. Mrs. Spiro, after having to deal with hundreds of baby Preying Mantis in the house, told Spiro that he will only have artificial Christmas trees in the future. Damn, Spiro missed all the fun.
Spiro here, if only the rest of the diabetics in the world knew what they were missing.

Hopefully your dinner was at Echo & Rig in Summerlin! One of the best steak houses I have been to & Kinghts hockey players love to eat at! No it was at Gallagher's in NYNY a short walk from the arena....ask Spiro how the bone-in filet's were ....the bread was nothing, it was the four Maker's Marks (two at dinner and a double at the game that my son bought me...keep in mind it was my birthday don't worry, took extra cartridges with me and had a correction dose sitting in my seat at the arena afterwards...Awesome seeing Spiro and his good friend, hopefully down the road we'll be sharing with others while having a good restaurant shut their doors with one of those "closed for private party" signs taped to the door and inside a lot of good times and celebration going on

This was the second time that Joeypotsandpans had taken Spiro to an incredible steak house in Vegas. The bone-in filet was absolutely mouth watering delicious and probably the best steak that Spiro has ever eaten. Joeypotsandpans not only knows where the best steaks are in Vegas, but also the best casinos to visit.

Hope you played some roulette, Spiro, you know the odds on individual numbers are starting to remind me of playing MNKD stock!

Baba,
Spiro played every stupid table game but roulette. Most of these table games have all these circles, sometimes 5 or 6, where you have to put a chip in every circle. Sometimes up to 3 or 4 chips in some circles. A dealer told Spiro that real men play all the circles, so Spiro played all the circles. Spiro quickly found out that it's better to be a chickenshit and only play one circle and to hell with being a real man. Spiro guesses, that playing the circles is kinda like playing MNKD options.
Spiro here, it was still fun.

No pictures? Would love to see pictures! Not of the mantis family of course. Sorry Novafett, no pics allowed as I suspect I'm on the 10 most wanted list from the dark side, my (truthful and factual) posts keep getting deleted by the "dark side" (very appropriate having just seen the new Star Wars episode). Speaking of which, here is my latest regarding the article published today, I have to memorialize them somewhere so why not here where freedom of speech and thought are welcomed In full context this was in response to a comment made by an alleged doctor who claimed that it's just the investors that look favorable at Afrezza and not the patients: WRONG DOC!! It makes great sense for the patients, I am BOTH a patient and an investor because of how great the product works and false statements like that are exactly why I continue to add to the position at these levels. The author is completely wrong in his assessment, insurance has been the hindrance to the scripts not the validity of the product. There is blatant collusion between UHC and NVO to block the product and that has been going on since the inception of the product. The product is a LIFE SAVER for PWD both from an indication standpoint medically AND from a convenience standpoint. The series of articles that are coming out in the past week are a desperate attempt as evidenced between this and the 5 articles that Spencer Osborne wrote in a 7 day period. It is plain as day that two authors that state they have no positions and are pounding the table about the demise of the company are totally misguided about the effectiveness of the drug and the correct reasons for the growth in scripts. Nothing can be further from the truth with what the author of this article is stating about inhalable insulin in Afrezza's case with his statement about PWD not wanting it. There are many that are wanting it and being blocked from getting it through their insurance carrier. I am one of those that was blocked for the period of time (since it's FDA approval) that the author is referring to due to the collusion between my insurance carrier and MNKD's competitor. I suspect that this will get deleted due to it being a counter-argument to the article and most of my comments (the facts and truth) now are being removed, so I have to memorialize them and post them elsewhere.

Very nice job, Joey!! Tough road, though, has been and will continue to be until there is a material crack in the insurance issues.

novafett,
Spiro is a notorious picture guy. At both of Spiro's meetings with the astute Joeypotsandpans, Spiro's cameras, cell phones and other suspicious devices were confiscated by security, prior to entering the room were Joeypotsandpans was seated with his entourage. Also at the end of our meetings, Joeypotsandpans seem to mysteriously disappear.

Very nice job, Joey!! Tough road, though, has been and will continue to be until there is a material crack in the insurance issues.I'm fervently hoping that Afrezza is going to have much better, more comprehensive coverage across insurance companies in 2018 versus 2017 and prior. If NOT, I say it again with apologies.... lower the damn price. Insurance companies are people too ( ) in that they don't like losing money any more than you and I do. In fact they like it even less as they tend to be greedier than the average human being with a soul. TAKE MARKET SHARE now by lowering the price and undercutting Humalog and Novalog. It is a BIG mistake to price Afrezza higher than injectables even though it is indeed a much better mealtime insulin. Grab that market share. Make it more accessible to many more diabetics. Raise the price down the road if you must. Inject (pun intended) some needed momentum into the new paradigm of the finest prandial insulin on the planet.

Drop the price put the pressure on the other companies

Absolutely spot on. As Michael K pointed out earlier today, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see these Seekig Alpha authors need to be investigated..5 articles in 7 days from a guy who disclosed he is not an investor or short..and isn’t compensated by anyone for writing these, “just a hobby”...shocked lawyers aren’t chomping at the bit..slam dunk
