Just a thought, when people ask me about my diet and I tell them I fast one or two days a week they say, “ Is that safe?” Which is my pet peeve! No one I have ever told about Afrezza asks is it safe? Will it hurt your lungs? It’s the easiest sell in the world, people jump up-and-down! Compared to trying to sell a workout and getting someone to exercise....Piece of cake! Sports - when you fast what liquids do you consume?. I absolutely want to start fasting just one day per week to help me shed a few additional pounds and boost my off-season workouts (I play Mens senior baseball). Thanks in advance for any advice you may provide

"I simply send them a bill for consultation services. The word gets around and friends stop asking for advice." "Wow!" exclaimed the doctor. "That's a terrific idea. Thank you!" "No problem", said the lawyer. "I'll send you my bill in the morning." Of course, I can't imagine sportsrancho doing anything like that. Baba maybe, but not Sports.

How much do you eat during the rest of the week? I normally eat a steady diet of almost nothing all day and more a heavier dinner. This seems to work for me. (I would eat more if I was still surfing ... but, the surf has been down for almost 10 years now.)

Thanks bthomas for the info ... So I think I'll fast slowly and Okay, I'll follow my current pattern that seems to be working for me and less confusing for my alhz brain. Main thing is that I don't EAT when I go to Vegas Baby! Ha! I've lost about 8 pounds ... and want to lose another 8 pounds to get to my "fighting" weight. If I quit drinking wine, I'm sure I'd be there in a flash. But, I'll just fast slowly instead. Ha!

It's mostly from the caffeine, which is only 7.5 mg/serving, compared to 95 mg for coffee. I eat a combination of any of the power foods for lunch. Oatmeal & egg whites, yogurt with 15grams of protein and blueberries, turkey broccoli salad, salmon, or sweet potato yam soup. Fajita Pita Jack-in-the-Box:-) I don’t eat much after 2 PM, for dinner I have a glass of red wine, a piece of chocolate, and a baby aspirin. I fast one day week and have one cheat day. Beazer eats Blue Buffalo and one spoon of peanut butter a day. And a few sips of red wine. Cheat day.. steak nachos or pizza:-)

If you're not an early morning workout person, fasting through the morning is much easier IMO. When I'm motivated, dinner is the last thing eaten in the day (this was just an result of the "DON'T SNACK" diet, rather than a plan to fast). Then delay a light breakfast as long as possible, with the help of coffee as appetite suppressant, but no coffee after noon. I end up only eating from ~9am - 7pm. Workouts are usually before dinner. A morning workout is definitely better for boosting your metabolism, but just doesn't fit some schedules. The benefits of fasting are all listed in the article posted by bthomas55ep above

So liane is "whining" ... (my wife also tells me the same thing) And xanet thinks that you have to take the baby aspirin to have the wine. And sports is a trainer and thus early morning workouts. For me ... fast slow ... or slow fast ...
