I also say no interview. Visiting the plant ... without cameras or mics ... only way to handle/control these (fill in the rest for yourself)

which one Sports? Those who are determined to kill a company will not have their opinions altered when paid to do their job. Catagna is an optimist which is a necessary and important personality trait to make MNKD succeed. Kastanes doesn't think that truth and visual evidence will change a paid representative... and I agree that AF is a scumbag beyond rational approach. BTW . AF and Osborne are interchangeable. AF is a paid. Agree with the last part:-) Then why does Kastanes want them to meet? Spencer is playing to his audience. AF... scumbag. Kastanes is a pessimist, Mike a optimistic realist. ( Knows how long this is going to take, and is optimistic he can get it done.) I agree with your last statement. Recently I posted that, IMO, CEO Castagna does not have experience in disruptive marketing. Some interpreted that remark that suggested that I don't like the job Mike is doing. In fact, I'm told that even SO quoted my remarks, as if I were disapproving of the CEO's performance. I think nothing of the sort.
I do believe that Afrezza is so unique that a disruptive marketing campaign would do quite well. I would prefer that to the traditional.
However, there is nothing wrong with following the more traditional industry route for marketing a new drug. Castagna's got a lot of experience with how the industry works, what is needed, and what the obstacles are, and he has put together a plan to overcome current obstacles. It may take a bit longer, especially when one considers how much influence is wielded by global BPs and PBMs, but I think that he will be successful.

( Knows how long this is going to take, and is optimistic he can get it done.) Well. Let's see. I have 3 people I respect a lot taking a different view SLA, You and AKemp. I suppose this is because you guys have a stronger view about Kastanes than I do. I don't know any of you other than through this forum. From how I perceive Kastanes; he is an an investor. I don't hear him speak ill of Afrezza, or the company, but has expressed his concerns about achieving success of MNKD. There are times when he is pessimistic but I don't think that's what drives him. On the other hand, I would never invite Osborne to my home... my interpretation of that is that he'd welcome a chance to talk with the guy who is an enemy of Mannkind. To me, this doesn't make him a supporter of the side that is paid to cover short interest with words. These are frustrating times. All of us who are investors in the company would like to see ourselves on solid ground with a higher share value. Mike wants this. I want this. You guys too. I'd include Kastanes wanting this as well. Just my take. When Mike put out the invitation, that is fine with me. Inviting a nemesis to examine the facilities and have first hand talks is righteous and a good move to make the offer. Making the offer is one thing. Expecting the offer to be accepted another. It was a strategic reply for Mike to make the offer as it is a statement that we not only have nothing to hide, but something to be proud of. But to me all of this is fantasy; as I'd bet my shares that there is no way in the world that Osborne would accept and if he did there is no way he'd move from the dark side and the money he is given to continue his attacks which benefit short interest.

I hope this interview happens with either SO or AF. An interview will be a great way for MannKind to have that transparency In my opinion, I hope no interview happens. These guys are not welcome and are not worth Mannkind's time or MC's time. Also, why now? They had their chances in the past - yearly investors meeting, quarterly earning calls, etc. No excuses. If they spend so much time writing articles, why can't they find time to call, email, etc. A reporter does whatever it takes to get the truth/story why can't these so called analyst do the same. Anyone that wants this interview is loosing focus on the goal. What transparency? I think after Monday's presentation, I got all the information that I wanted. Lets just wait to see who the CMO is on Monday and go from there. Funny how Matt P. has AF as a connection on Linkedin. Anyway, SO and AF are not really contributing in any way just giving day traders something to chew on, but when a long term places a comments on their articles they go on the defensive and never retract their wrongdoings. Also, when folks like myself start talking about the science behind afrezza, forget about, SO,risingskeptism, AF are all scientist all of a sudden. Dudes probably don't even have their Master's degree. I remember going 1:1 with SO on comparing Afrezza to the pancreas. Went back and forth for a while. This is not rocket science the science has already been done/proven/FDA approved thanks to Technosphere. Moreover, SO never called out risingskeptism on his SA message board when he attacked investors opinions on Afrezza, why because he is a hypocrite. Al, may he rest in peace, called Shkreli a punk. I call AF and SO punks as well. SO says he still believes Mannkind is speculative. What does that mean? SO - Don't tell us what we already now, tell us what do you think. Not that hard. i.e. running out cash, dilution, scripts are flat, etc..dude we all know the scripts numbers every Friday just like you do.Has SO or AF helped any PWD with their vast knowledge of diabetes? Personally, i have. For example- I recommended Tresiba to my T1D cousin. He mentioned Tresiba to his doctor, got a prescription and loves it. His life has changed dramatically with less injections and less hypo. I tried to explained Afrezza to him but, like many PWDs, only listen to their endo. Long story short Mannkind long. There are no current profits, so any valuation put on the company is speculative concerning earnings that have yet to materialize. Profitable companies can be valued on real, not speculative earnings. I don't read SO because as you point out he's primarily writing things that I know... i.e. he's not writing for you or I. Many people aren't members of this forum and don't follow MNKD as closely. They are who he is writing for. Don't get upset that he is presenting information for other people that you may already know.

I was made aware of a discussion on a message board (ProBoards) about the concept of me doing an interview with Mike Castagna, CEO of MannKind. In reviewing that thread, I want to clarify some things for the benefit of all readers. Unbelievable! Really

So tell me this, what is your speculative analyses on Amazon, Tesla, Twitter. By the way, people need to do there due diligence on what they invest and before reading any article on a stock. I did a lot of research on Mannkind by reading their studies, Technosphere, Afrezza, and obviously followed closely the plan laid out by past and current CEOs. Some I did not like and some I did. But here we are. Again enlighten me on your analysis on TSLA. You should read his SA articles before you defend him. Sort of pointless defending someone without any knowledge of their literature or background. Warren said it best "βIf you arenβt willing to own a stock for ten years, donβt even think about owning it for ten minutesβ.

drman7... I've never invested in TSLA or Twitter so can't comment on them from investment standpoint, though I'd love to own TSLA car. Zero to sixty in less than 2 seconds. So I guess one could say the investment thesis for TSLA resembles the one for MNKD. I do own some AMZN, though my position in MNKD is larger. I have read some of SO's articles including the one just today referencing thread here. Seems amusing to me how he's taking advantage of all the attention he's getting here. All the whinging here just plays into building up awareness of him. It seems we both have the same basic assessment of what he writes... that he's presenting info that is available elsewhere such as here and in MNKD financials. Just seems you are upset about it, whereas I see no reason to be bothered by it. Tons of articles written about companies are exactly that... summarizing info readily available. I would never have as much money as I do in MNKD without doing my own due diligence digging into financials, the clinical trials, etc., otherwise I might find SO's articles useful... though as he has stated more than once, he is primarily targeting traders.

It may take a bit longer, especially when one considers how much influence is wielded by global BPs and PBMs, but I think that he will be successful.
mnholdem I think Mike is the right person for the job. His personal experience with family members having dealt with complications of diabetes fuels his passion. Mike is a very personable excellent speaker and spokesperson for our company and if he has some learning curves then who better to do it. I think Mike will be successful too. Disruptive seems to be the new word embraced as once was "paradigm shift". MNKD is a david fighting many goliaths and this is a war. Whatever design and devices which will sustain and propel MNKD foothold and success works for me. With social media I still think tagging Afrezza commercials and testimonials onto every Diabetes Event would be more effective that conventional advertising dollars spent. Still, the traditional approach needs to take place as well. I think most here don't fully understand all of the complications (including me) regarding bringing a small company's superior drug to market. The board is so very often dwelling in possibilities which seem like pie in the sky to me. I spend plenty of hours on this board reading what other people have to say and think I'm sentient enough to determine authenticity from well designed and articulate BS. It's clear to me that there are some here who are intrinsically foolish; and those who ride in on unicorns pooping rainbows along with those who claim to be in medical school or doctors coming to the rescue on the investors here delivering FUD. Some of us calling these posters on it have been given vacations for our inappropriate and blunt use of language. I don't tolerate fools well. And I can't keep up with each and every post as I once did. When I think how many hours I put into research and multiply that by the number of other crazy zealots like me the hours invested are enormous. With this, I am influenced by those, including you, and too many to mention for giving validity to support my own personal thesis about MNKD's potential success. This has been a difficult journey and many here have fatigue.. just like a battle. Seems like one battle after another and it's human nature to want resolve, to be validated for the efforts and to find success. Best to You
