Chris I heard the same report on Melo, Kobe and Love... But short of a pick up game or the All Star game we are not likely to see all three playing in a game at the same time... I grew up watching the Lakers but have become a season ticket holder of the Clippers. The seats were just too good to pass up... Do still root for the lakers when not playing the Clippers... MM

This Doc closes with the following:
"Will I prescribe Afrezza for people with diabetes? Not a lot, and not for past or present smokers, and not for people with any breathing problems (or heart issues that might cause difficulty breathing), and not without getting pulmonary function testing and explaining all of what I see as potential risks, and not without close follow-up. But some people who need insulin just cannot bring themselves to inject it, and, for a few of these, recognizing the potential for harm, Afrezza might still be a good answer."
While I'd prefer exuberant enthusiasm, this is good enough. I'll take this as an initial approach from any prescribing doc. Start with this initial perspective, infuse excellent marketing (both to the docs and to the patients), then stand back and watch the smoldering kindling break into a raging fire as the feedback from the early adopters rolls in.
Just give Afrezza the shot it deserves.

MM Geez, talk about a bandwagon guy! And I suppose you became an LA Kings fan three years ago - LOL - now there's a team who tries their butts off! The Lakers are putrid lately and will likely remain so for quite some time, so, a good move by you. Glad to see some stability back in the stock today, Spiro was on Siberia watch again. His wife now claims she never told him to "buy more, buy more, buy more" when the approval was announced! It's gotten to the point of physical abuse, coming at him with a leaf-blower, and telling him not to dare ask where she got it and that he'd better not ever try to reverse the mechanism again! Our retirees in Florida are a lot more feisty than I had imagined.

To me this was a cautious but positive and well thought out endorsement of Afrezza by an MD who is by the very nature of his role in the medical establishment cautious with new products. Except in oncology I do not recall a lot of situations where MDs in positions like this MD is 'jump on the bandwagon'. Tempering enthusiasm tends to be the default mode of thought. JPG

Baba, no worries here. After all, MNKD now has an approved drug and a potentially loaded pipeline. Ok, so we are not yet where we want to be with the share price, but you young guys need to develop some patience. With the share price at $9.85, I guarantee you the misery index is a lot higher with the shorts. I admit this investor fatigue can be bothersome, but it's better than the nightmares the shorts are having. It sure would be nice to know what is going on over at Greenhill these days. My guess, they are wrapping up a huge deal for some one. I just hope it's for MNKD.

Baba, just to clear up a few things... first when I say the seats were too good to pass up I mean exactly that.. first row on the floor and guess who sits directly in front of me many games...? Among others Floyd Mayweather and Rhianna. Wuld cost double for me to have same seats with Lakers even now... And I got the seats at the behest of a friend before Doc, Chris and all the other guys came to town during Blake's rookie year that he was hurt and not playing... Inxtead of jining the bandwagon... Let's just say I can spot a good investment earlier than most and stay with it... As for the Kings I am actually half Canadian and still can't get into hockey nor world cup... Yes today was a much better day and have been expecting after last few down days... Good time to pick up a few shares yesterday though...

You have me beat on your Clipper seats. 1st pic Clippers and the 2nd the Laker scrimmages - I couldn't find a game one in my phone. Great great investment on the season tickets. Back to the topic: does anyone see more than one partner for MNKD?

Back to the topic-
What are the odds that mnkd goes with a different partner for EU and Asia/ Australia submission?
I believe, even if a year or two out, EU is a given. Smart money says US partner wants EU.
Asia, has it pitfalls (thanks to China for the ripoff meds) but will still be very profitable.
Not much attention to Australia. Why not?
For the off topic- kings were very lucky this year. Very lucky. Also, who are the Clippers? And, who are the Clippers? (think about it...)

Yes Marbles that's exactly what I was leading too! Another question is - if MNKD partners with a small less known company specifically for marketing purposes, what are the odds of a EU submission if MNKD mgmt has once stated they would like to focus on US sales for the 1st year only iirc. If we partner with a larger corp, I think we'll see another thing mgmt has spoken about - having the partner take care of EU submission. I don't see us expanding to Asia before EU although Mann has done a conference meeting in China before... there is no doubt a great market for diabetes treatment in Asia but there are many unappealing factors in places like China: too many regulations, greased hands and corruption, weak patent protection and a strong barrier to entry and very specific brand loyal citizens.
OT: Kings were very very lucky! But I'll take it... I was almost more surprised about that championship victory than Brasil losing 7-1 to Germany!

Latest from Uncle Jim and the street (just so you don't have to give em three clicks:
MannKind (MNKD_) Afrezza partnership
MannKind secured FDA approval for Afrezza on June 27, so the bull-bear investor battle over the stock shifts to whether or not the company can find a marketing partner for the inhaled insulin device, and on what terms. MannKind executives have offered conflicting guidance on the timing of a partnership deal, but the company certainly needs to announce something well before the year is over
