I hope Lilly pays us in shares vs cash to avoid the huge capital gains! 😜

Ha! Our old friend Kuka will probably be back. Now, instead of Amgen buying us because of Mike and all his implants, Lilly is going to buy us because of Dr. K and his implants. Just saying there are stranger things in the world. Need to check the Private Jets today in and out of Burbank......
plane at BUR aiport? Gulfstream Aerospace G-1159C Gulfstream IV
Aircraft Reg: N312EL, Think it was just fueling up there
Oxnard and van nuys airports are closer than burbank for private jets

Guess it was unrelated to the meeting. Good to know that.

Here's the one, key takeaway from the meeting - David Kendall is a superstar. I was expecting quite a lot from him - he over-delivered.
Mike is energetic, sharp, and a pretty good talker, Kendell is a heavyweight in the specific area of our interest. He is also completely un-geeky - very smooth, and quite a sense of humor. And he plays golf, although I don't know when he has the time.
Mike scored huge when he got Kendall to join, although Kendall says that he wanted the unique opportunity to be with a company that has developed an insulin therapy 7 to 10 years ahead of the pack - and he was in the pack, and decided to go with the leader (scientifically). His joining does not ensure success, but it gives us our best shot and that's all I can ask at this point.
Thanks to Sports and Barnstormer for all the work in networking and setting the whole thing up. Barnstormer is a very sophisticated businessman. And Sports is, well, Sports! Beazer's a gentleman, too bad there were no lizards around, Beazer could have had himself a treat!
Asking Mike to see us at the pre-game dinner was great, his actually showing up spoke volumes.

Did everything on the agenda pass? I gotta admit, I almost fell off my chair when I read that question! It's beyond anything I could possibly comprehend.

Mike talked about scripts rising & said he is not interested in seeing scripts go from 500 to 550 a week. He wants to see scripts go from 500 to 5000 a week! He mentioned 5000 scripts a week a couple of times today.

He mentioned 5000 scripts a week a couple of times today. This is the best thing I’ve heard all day! During earnings cc he also mentioned about doctors going from 1 patient to 20... and what challenges that may present on the insurance side... Saying it is the first step... and I know it can be done! Go MNKD!

It seems to me that it will be Biomm who provides guidance for Afrezza sales in Brazil. That said, this is an interesting little factoid:
The diabetes epidemic affects most countries across the world and is increasing at alarming rates in Latin America. Nearly 12 million individuals have diabetes in Brazil, and the current prevalence ranges from 6.3% to 13.5%, depending on the region and the diagnostic criteria adopted in each study.
Source: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2214999615013077Certainly a lot of potential if they get payers on board there. If I'm reading this Brazilian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences article from last November correctly, I don't know that it matters -- www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&pid=S1984-82502017000300616The way I interpret "Table 1" is that the cost of treating a diabetic with lispro is about $300 per patient per year. That's based on the "real" being worth about a US quarter.
