Mango, I'm very confident that if you arrive at noon on the 14th, you'll be able to make it to Thousand Oaks by dinnertime on the 15th - traffic isn't that bad, and some kids will be out of school by then! We should get a head count of those who can and would like to join for dinner on Tuesday evening, to make sure the planned restaurant can accommodate the hungry masses. I hate to volunteer anyone (like Sports - please   ) to just post an initial list of those who she believes are attending, and then people can add or subtract therefrom as time passes. I think we're still at the stage where out of towners are "sure" they're coming, but then something comes up. My sense is we're going to end up with 10-15. I'm thinking we supply name tags so that people get your name and handle in one place - want to make sure drinks get thrown in the right peoples' faces!! |

Oh my gosh, I’m so bad at this. Yes mango it’s on the list. And then to top it off I’m really bad with names anyway and now I have to remember two names for every person. I’ll bring some Post-it’s can’t afford nametags🤣

Hey Mango ... you probably know that I'm from Hawaii. I once rented a huge Cadillac in Seattle and drove my wife and daughter on a college search. We visited around 36 colleges and drove 2500 miles ... and returned the car in Las Vegas. (Hawaii's 9th island) Anyway, if this silly native can do that ... I'm sure that you can rent a car and drive it to the event.
BTW, I rented a HUGE Cadillac because people drive 80 to 90 miles an hour on the "mainland" and wanted as much metal to protect us. (That's what people from Hawaii call the USA ... we also call you all "crazy haoles") But, that's another story. Good luck Mango ...

You’re right I am not, I never go to LA, I try to stay as far away from there as possible. In conclusion, the 405 freeway is a glorified parking lot unless you're traveling in the middle of the night. I recommend getting the Waze app for navigation in Los Angeles. |
