Scientific advisory board

MannKind Corporation has had a Scientific Advisory Board for many years, but many of these members are new.  I see Dr. Garg (i.e. STAT study) is a now a SAB member. Another impressive addition is John E. Anderson MD, the former President of the American Diabetes Association. Along with MannKind CMO David Kendall MD, who was the Chief Scientific and Medical Officer of the American Diabetes Association, they have many connections with Key Opinion Leaders throughout the diabetes industry.

Derek LeRoith MD, PhD is an editor for a major medical journal (Editor-in-Chief of Endocrine Practice, the official journal of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists). Have exchanged emails with this guy, and then Mike met him for breakfast. Guess he became a believer.

Can't wait for ASM.

Appears Derek is also an Editor-in-Chief of "Frontiers in Endocrinology" as well.

Well, Mike stated that Dr. kendall had put together a scientific advisory board in his Oppenheimer presentation on March 20th (that's about one month and a half ago) and he said they would announce that shortly. Mike mentioned that at about 3 minutes into the presentation.

I have been eagerly waiting for this announcement for a while. 

I recall the previous mentions. The notion that they met and were amazed about the 60 studies was an additional positive development.

The board can help get past the cost barrier. Prove to prescribers and insurers that afrezza is superior so they will cover and write afrezza.

I thought it would worthwhile to do this so we can all get a better feel for who the people are on MannKind's SAB. I am very impressed and I think whoever is responsible for putting this team together did an awesome job. Glad they all decided to help MannKind (mankind) out. I included all the references each one has within the 2018 Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes and their PubMed info. If anyone sees any mistakes or wants to add any info feel free to.

Whoever their webmaster is, s/he still has failed to include the smaller iOS mobile format at the Afrezza website. I still only get a half inch of main window. 80% of my iPhone screen is the warning. There are millions of older folks like me who see no need to upgrade to the larger iPhones that don't fit in your pocket. :-(
