A 'reverse triangular merger with a shell'? What the hell is this guy talking about?

Has anyone heard from SIERRA? I'm sure she would have the answers. Meanwhile, I think something if afoot within the FDA...to many doctors have to many connections/associations with other pharmaceutical companies or conflicting interests. A little like Congress...that is why it takes so long for legislation to get done, it has to pass through a lot of committees, each with a tasks, each member with one interest or another. All we can do is wait, but it's becoming harder to hold on.

But...someone has to be buying some of the 17.6 million shares already traded right? Who?

I've read a small portion of the FDA document and not being a science type don't fully understand the ins and outs of the trials. That said, I've also read the 'woe is me, we've been lied to by the company,' comments, as well as the 'I told you so' group. There's been two sides to this story, one by supported by Epstein(?) and George Rho, and the other by the doomsayers. The FDA BD raised issues and asked questions that need to be answered. The Company will be there to answer them. I don't see this as a one way street where the FDA's independent panel sits and scolds Mannkind for spending billions on a new therapy and wasting everyone's time. I see this as a discussion by professionals to see if this new therapy will benefit diabetics or not. Mannkind will certainly debate the promise of the therapy...and answer questions that need to be answered. This is a big moment for Mannkind and hopefully they will give it their best shot. My humble suggestion is this:Let's sit back, take a deep breath, and watch the joust on Tuesday.

It appeared to me that the latest SA article was hastily thrown together. That being said, I agree that at least we're in the green, but nothing to cheer about. Four cents on over 12,000,000 shares trades indicates a battle going on.

I agree but I believe something devious is afoot. Excellent phase III results, the PPS goes down and short interest goes up. NDA accepted by the FDA , the PPS goes down. All evidence points to some serious manipulation, but the big question is who is doing the manipulation.

Excellent find. As you suggested, there are those on the YB who are suggested the lung cancer link with inhaled insulin. It is quite apparent those posters did not take the time to read the article.

I noted before on the Agora board that Summer Street was somewhat disreputable. The best they were in several articles a few years ago was neutral...nothing bad to say yet nothing good....look for the wheat and avoid this chaff. I'm more concerned about the increasing short interest than the occasional negative articles. Read a post (can't remember if it was here or the YB) that suggested longs may be hedging their investment this way, which would make sense, but 49 million shares?

...also makes me wonder who conducted the due diligence on Deerfield for Mannkind, as well as who negotiated the terms and the IAEA to Al Mann.
