The commercial is hysterical. A pharma commercial with humor, that people can laugh at. The Sandwich that surfaces while fishing..... hysterical.
The Burger parachuting into the park. hysterical.
food, a salad popping out of trees in the park while doing yoga. I love it.
two announcer speeds.

I was waiting for Bob from the Enzyte commercials to make an appearance! There is a technosphere application for that. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR5fYm4Pcdc
However, Bob doesn't get to throw a Frisbee.

I can't wait to see the commercials in the daily soaps and local TVs. More likely is Afrezza would get play on Discovery networks because they may have gotten a good package deal for sponsoring the show. Advertising on TV is all about reach. The more viewers that watch a show or timeslot, the more money it is to advertise to that group. Mass television advertising is expensive. Can't see them doing that in the short term.

"So we are going to be doing more aggressive consumer advertising, including television, which everybody is surprised, we have a commercial into production even as we speak. It will probably be awhile before we get it to the FDA and on the air. And even then, don’t look for it on your next Super Bowl. It’s going to be more targeted in a few markets and we want to see before we invest really huge amounts of money that it actually has the effect, we expect it will and some target marketing things. So it’s going to be kind of piloted out." seekingalpha.com/article/4036493-mannkinds-mnkd-ceo-matt-pfeffer-presents-jpmorgan-healthcare-conference-transcript

I'm pretty surprised that MNKD decided not to use the outsulin character in the commercial considering how much success these cartoon characters have had in pharma marketing in recent years. And it's all over their website. One that comes to mind is the Myrbetriq bladder ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqbtMeEa7sY) from Astellas, which helped launch the brand pretty effectively in the US. Coincidently the new MNKD CCO comes from Astellas Urology which also launched Myrbetriq.

Or the Cologuard ad is a good one and that company is doing better financially.

Or the Cologuard ad is a good one and that company is doing better financially. Mannkind announced they were working with Precision Effect in Boston which made the Cologuard ad. They presumably developed the insulin/outsulin characters. I was suprised they werent used.

Maybe Mannkind is waiting for Pediatric approval to introduce the Insulin/Outsulin characters.

That was over 18 months ago so we don't know who they are using today. Perhaps they are still using Percision

Maybe Mannkind is waiting for Pediatric approval to introduce the Insulin/Outsulin characters. The big question in that regard is whether FDA would allow them to actually say something about "Outsulin" meaning fewer delayed hypo events. Maybe FDA wouldn't approve a TV ad stating that ? Who knows. I suppose management could share how they made their choices but I'm guessing they won't.
