This news got me wondering what my health plan coverage is for Afrezza. I have United Healthcare for my insurance. I looked up the cost and here is what I found: 4(60) & 8(30) Unit NDC: 47918088463 90 day supply Plan pays $764.79 Employee pays $100.00 I cannot recall what the cost was in the past because I am not a user of Afrezza. The out of pocket cost seems very reasonable for a 3 month supply. This is not enough for a 3-month supply. Figure 12-units per meal x 3 meals per day and do the math. This doesn't take in the corrections for sedentary days.

Can anyone check this website -- lookup.decisionresourcesgroup.com It looks like an alternative to formularylookup. I tried myself but form some reason it won't cooperate; every drug I tried came up with a little red "x" beside it. You have to scroll down below the drugs and select up to 5 insurance plans. They don't have ability to show summary info. I guess it's meant for consumers to be able to check on the plans their employers offer to see if there drugs are covered. It appears that most of the United Health plans are showing as Not Covered. So looks like there is discrepancy between this site and formularylookup.com. Though I guess if there really were a change just now, some sites might update quicker than others. Hoping improvement is real... but not yet jumping on board with celebration. Well, darn, I never thought to scroll down to the bottom! Thanks. Anyway, the link to April's version of the CVS/Caremark "value" drug list": www.caremark.com/portal/asset/Value_Formulary.pdfAnd the performance drug list: www.caremark.com/portal/asset/caremark_recaprxclaimsdruglist.pdfNo mention of afrezza that I can see. It does list humalog and fiasp as their preferred.

I don’t know many people that eat three meals a day, most people I know eat a late breakfast and a big dinner...that’s not how I eat, I’m just saying that’s how most of the people I know eat.

I've been gone all day and just walked in to this great news! I'm starting to feel like this is EXAS all over again just before it took off. Stuff like this, was happening then. Another strong runner getting into the starter block; Afrezza! Very nice news. Cheers.

That surprises me. Most people I know eat 3 main meals, plus snacks here and there. (None of them, AFAIK, are diabetic.)

This is not enough for a 3-month supply. Figure 12-units per meal x 3 meals per day and do the math. This doesn't take in the corrections for sedentary days. 240+240= 480 ÷ 12 = 40-days. My misstake. This price must be for 3 boxes since it says 90 days supply. One box of this NDC costs about $320 according to Goodrx. So price-wise, it also makes sense that this is for 3 boxes. So it is 480 x 3 = 1440 units. So basically, you can have 16 units per day for 90 days, or alternatively 32 units per day for 60 days, or alternatively 48 units per day for 30 days. However, if someones needs the large doses, I assume he will get either the titration package or the 12-units packages.

RisingSkeptic is not happy:-) “I would SERIOUSLY question the results offered by formularylookup. I have looked up many of the formularies where they alleged there was tier 3 coverage only to find afrezza wasn't even ON the formulary.” Who gives a rats a$$ what he says, he doesn’t follow me on Twitter, and I’m the Bass Player !! 🎸😎 I hope he gets bubble stomach at Church this Sunday,, Go Mannkind 🇺🇸

My food intake is minimal ... I have a couple cups of coffee in the morning ... some nuts to energize me during the day ... and a dinner with my wife. That's it.
Oh ... and a couple gallons of wine before dinner. Ha!

Skeptic... it's right there in his name. Are you skeptical that he is sincere? I think he’s very sincere. I also think he’s on here, and since he quotes me all the time on SeekingAlpha I thought I’d return the favor. Let’s just leave it at this:-)
