The ad campaign imho needs to focus on the following bullet points and maybe not in just one ad but a creative built upon a series of ads as follows:
The message is about Fast in / fast out which means pwd can now manage their diabetes for the first time in real time which is a REVOLUTION in the way pwd treat mealtime needs for post prandial bg excursions.
The reason fast in / fast out is so important (as most everyone on this board already knows) are listed below and would be my message topics for the ad campaign:
a. Better Hba1c and better TIR b. With less hypos c. Eat anything you want with virtually no carb counting d. Eat anytime you want because you take Afrezza within 5 mins after you begin your meal e. Less long term diabetic side effects from better TIR f. No needles g. In many cases you may be able to stop using a pump and convert to Afrezza and a cgm for the same or better results h. No shown or proven serious side effects i. Testimonials with 85 to 95% user satisfaction
My tag line would be “What’s your a1c? Want more TIR with less severe hypos? Join the Revolution! “
Now the real question is; in what form of words can these points be made, if any, that will be allowed by the FDA? 😂

Want a lower A1C? Improved TIR? Take the Afrezza challenge. How low will your numbers be?

I think it would be really hard to write interesting copy for insulin, I have certainly never seen a good insulin advert ever. The problem is you have to write the copy using just the claims on the label which is really restricting. The current label blocks TIR and hypos claims.

Every successful diabetes commercial needs a diabetic fire captain and a firehouse dalmation.

Seeing fat people on TV dancing around like some other pharmaceutical companies promote is not the way to go, Laura is the way to go..she shows it’s cool. It’s fast. And you don’t have to struggle with planning meals.
Have her taking a hit and then running out for her next tennis match. And by the way, she says “take a hit” in her video for a reason:-)

Saw this tweet from last night's Kings game. That looks more like an advertisement for Mannkind. Did it say anything about afrezza?

Saw this tweet from last night's Kings game. That looks more like an advertisement for Mannkind. Did it say anything about afrezza? I wasn't there, but (looking at the photo) at the bottom of the display it says "MannKind Corporation The maker of Afrezza inhaled insulin."

Its good if they are showing that over there.. I agree, it should be more Afrezza than Mannkind. Mannkind is such a general word, people think Mannkind as mankind! Every time I hear "mankind", first thing I think is Afrezza. Only because, I'm an investor.

As the former Head of Marketing that helped build a successful nationally known medical company and now CEO, this type of corporate sponsorship display advertising makes my skin crawl. Anyone with real world successful marketing experience knows that this type of advertising NEVER pays out. It is only done by two types of companies: 1. Unknowing companies that are easily sold a bag of coal or 2. Well known and successful general brand advertisers with deep pockets and money to spare. This Kings game ad likely got the company some free tickets and feel good clout, but I guarantee there was no ROI. Being that I am a long-time shareholder it makes me quite frustrated to see this type of poor $/eyeball expense being paid when the company is still in it's infancy/not profitable. Mannkind should get focused on cost effective digital, social and maybe direct response television/radio (where you can buy quality unsold TV slots for 10 cents on the dollar. The only way they can afford to do TV and yet still a very viable way to build a national presence). Mannkind Execs, please feel to reach out if you need some guidance. I would be happy to help.

And for those who wondered if the above ad was photoshopped, it wasn't. My buddy texted me a similar pic a week or so ago from the game and I appreciate the member here (harryx1) posting it as a reminder for me to comment.
