What is interesting is a comparison of the two curves using 12 month data rather than the 7 days the links provide. While Afrezza seems to have mild interest, overall interest in "inhaled insulin" is on the decline. More interesting are the state by state comparisons of the two charts; it would seems that the area with the most interest in inhaled insulin (Mass, NY and Penn) are less interested in Afrezza (comparatively speaking) while California is about the same.
Likewise, there are a bunch of states where people are searching for Afrezza but not at all on inhaled insulin. It is certainly evident which states the company is targeting and which they have chosen to ignore.

Seven days is way too short of a sample to gauge anything. Move the timeframe to even a month or a year and there is no upwards trend.

I wonder what the data would look like removing all the MNKD shareholders doing searches!

That's really funny. My state is very well represented. I'm going to go ahead and pat myself on the back and pretend I'm having a profound impact.

The new DTC TV ad campaign only began Monday. It will be most interesting to see a trend graph a month from now as viewers begin to see the same commercial a second, third and fourth time.

Wouldn’t it make sense that inhaled insulin is on the decline and Afrezza is on the way up because people have learned the name of the inhaled insulin?

I am watching your posted number and wondering when it will reach 10,000. I have a feeling that something good will happen by then.

Disappointed
Googling: "non injectable medications for diabetes" no results about Afrezza. There are alse pre-built Q&A and Afrezza is never included in the answers. There is one Q&A: "is there an alternative to insuline injection ?" opening the answer the sentence is: "In short, they don't play well in the sand box with other meds, while insulin plays well with other drugs. So in my book, while there are pills that can be substituted for insulin, there's really just no substitute for insulin" That's correct but it is not the answer to the question. Seems that google doesn't know that exists inhable insuline.... But then if You google: "inhalable insuline" the first result is afrezza.com
Google connect the dots, please

Love the approach $MNKD is taking rolling this out. I expect to see an increase in the search term "Afrezza" as more and more people learn the name.

Afrezza is on the second page when googling for "meal time insulin".
When searching for fast acting insulin, Afrezza is mentioned in article on the first page and second page, but Afrezza.com is nowhere to be found
Wikipedia is still the worst (from the insulin page):
In January 2008, the world's largest insulin manufacturer, Novo Nordisk, also announced that the company was discontinuing all further development of the company's own version of inhalable insulin, known as the AERx iDMS inhaled insulin system.[69] Similarly, Eli Lilly and Company ended its efforts to develop its inhaled Air Insulin in March 2008.[70] However, MannKind Corp. (majority owner, Alfred E. Mann) remains optimistic about the concept.[71]
Damn, that's old

Well, someone is getting paid the big bucks and has zero clue about search engine optimization (SEO).

MannKind has abysmal SEO.

MannKind has abysmal SEO. Worst case they could be using google adwords to display a banner ad on the first page of any keyword based search. There is no social media marketing taking place as far as I am concerned. Organic search results is a tough nut to crack, but as they've shown, they're willing to spend on TV ads, they could easily do the same for specific key words on the web. Oh well.
