Is it too simplistic/ but if 70 reps can sell X amount of scripts .. then 140 reps can sell 2x X and so on ... an it’s off to the races ! Or is that just too easy .... If it costs more to sell the product, per rep, then the more reps the faster the money is spent.

Fair enough, but let's make it a priority.

What can and should be done differently should be determined by a lot of new blood in the BOD’s. Out with the old who have already passed on all of their knowledge and contacts to management and other members. Why keep them? New blood is needed. Among new picks I want new board members that have been personal shareholders of MNKD for many years. Perhaps keep the newest member Hooper to offer what new he has but out the longstanding members of many years and bring in new.
Longstanding current members remind me of government elected bureaucrats elected over and over again because of lack of term limits who sit comfortably on the tax payer dollar. We need new board members outside of the current clique.

Then again, I’m not sure I even want Hooper to remain. Seems his relationship with our CEO already taints him part of the clique.

While I never post personal messages, this is my one exception and just a quick note to Matt. I was definitely not thinking of you when I questioned the backgrounds of critics and their probable lack of experience with biotechs. If I thought anyone would have a background in biotechs, it would be you. I have always enjoyed reading your informative posts even though I couldn't disagree more with your current suggestion. Now is not the time to fish or cut bait. No one is pleased with the speed of results but Mannkind continues to have an improved outlook in so many directions. I only wish that I was just now hearing about this company for the first time and could begin investing

Maybe a better time to first learn about the company and begin investing will be after the next dilution.

Some regions may have much better insurance coverage, and a rep in a region with one or more docs that were early believers in Afrezza might be much more effective than reps in regions without any Afrezza champion in the medical community. A lot of docs don't meet with reps that try to do cold calls, so in those circumstances there has to be something else that interests them (such as knowing other practitioners using Afrezza) and causes them to contact the rep for more info.

And those are individually owned franchises, not company owned stores (sales people). Kinda sounds like Vdex doesn't it?

Maybe a better time to first learn about the company and begin investing will be after the next dilution. Possibly. Some do seem to think there's a chance of one more dilution. If not, due to a variety of potential events, then better to be in now. This is the current gamble. GL

If not, due to a variety of potential events, then better to be in now. This is the current gamble. GL I would flip that and say some people believe there is a chance of no further dilution. There always is that chance, since yes, there could be some unforeseen source of additional revenue, but looking at what is known it seems highly likely further dilution will be necessary whether sweetners for getting access to the third Midcap tranche that would otherwise not be available, a PIPE offering and/or tapping ATM. Though I think the real concern here wouldn't be small incremental things, but whether management has a big misstep by asking shareholders to authorize some huge number of new shares.

I remember him as an ardently bullish, who was polite to me although he didn't often agree with my take on things.
It shocked me to return here after an extended absence and find him to be pretty critical, albeit on another web site.
I hope the run-up over the last few months has treated people well. My last A1c was 5.8, and I've halved my basal and prandial insulin through changed diet (more, but not completely, vegetarian) and additional activity. Still waiting for Afrezza to be marketed in Canada.

EDIT: Talking abt John Kastanes - forgot to quote from the original post. Out of practice at this Proboards thing!

The next dilution comes when pps is $100+ and we do a 5 for 1 split. AND, another 5 for 1 split will come in 2 months when the pps is back up to $100+.
But, that's mytakeonit's multimillionaireprediction
