It would be interesting to see if there’s a correlation between a1c of the diabetics and their covid outcome. Some similar data has come out on vitamin d and cholesterol.

Insulin..is an anti-inflammatory..and inhaled insulin goes to lungs..hmm
An Afrezza user that had Covid-19...no ICU and feels fine..when in juxtaposition other
diabetics are at a high rate of death.. This should send an alarm bell..I mean..it's sending one to me at least...
Questions:
1. What insulins are diabetics on that died? 2. What insulins are diabetics on that had no ICU and are fine?
Since Afrezza is used by a fraction of the diabetic community I would be shocked if no questionnaire has been sent directly to Afrezza users to even ask
1. Did you contract Covid-19? 2. Were you in ICU? 3. Are you over Covid-19? 4. What other drugs are you taking with Afrezza? 5. Are you using Afrezza alone? ect..
I dunno..is there a database today that shows a manufacturer..all drugs a patient is on..and if they got Covid-19 and what their outcomes where?
I am wondering because Michael Castagna once said how surprized he was that Kaiser and insurances don't follow outcomes...ect..he was frustrated about that I recall.. So here we are on the flip side..Where is the outcomes data on Afrezza and Covid-19 infected populations?
Anyways-Glad to see an Afrezza user getting over Covid-19 that is really good news!

(These people are probably type two) ============================================================================ These people are not dying of high insulin levels itellthefuture777You have posted this a bunch of time on different threads. Remember record players? you are stuck and skipping.

itellthefuture777quote: I believe using Afrezza was an integral part of my ability to fight off the viral attack. I'm convinced my lungs were protected because of my use of it over the last 2+ years. first itell, I apologize. for a prior post in this thread. second, the quote, and thinking the words through on a visual level. A virus enter the back of the throat and would do down with inhalation. Hypothesis: Afrezza and COVID-19. IF: where the spike protein implants could be in the bronchus if the viral load and the virus was enough to make it down to the alveoli. My question, Could the proteins in the insulin, as they travel through the alveolar wall lined by a simple squamous epithelium; and into the alveolar capillary bed, could afrezza proteins interfere with COVID-19 spike protein ability to transfer the virus? long shot... magical thinking, afrezza the cure, heh now I am sorry.

In this UCSF Medical Grand Rounds (July 23, 2020), we begin with a review of the epidemiology of current surges challenging many areas in the South and West of the United States. We then hear reports from three of the nation’s hardest hit cities and institutions: Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmorptF8db8What is Lillys' delivery system?

"Virus infection has been demonstrated promoting severe Insulin resistance and boost acute type 2 diabetes, (5, 6)" also the Dexamethasone. if you were a controlled type two diabetic going in, the stress reaction and the iatrogenic diabetes.

We have had long discussions on this board about the cause of diabetes being viral and the work which has been done at Joslin to isolate specific viruses. Covid-19 may have just brought the spotlight to this theory. IMO, it makes a lot of sense.
It would also make a lot of sense to put all Covid-19 patients on CGMs and start treating with afrezza as needed. Galindo should be making some phone calls to get them all on Sugar IQ along with the afrezza.
