He actually uses the drug. Conor did tweet about using it for about a month, back in 2019. It was never clear to me how MUCH he used it. Or whether he stuck with it. I think he mentioned it in a print interview around the time. Since then, I really never heard him say anything about Afrezza or Mannkind. Until this week, of course. |

Here is Conor from earlier this week, featured on Drivers Eating Donuts. He mentioned his diabetes. Seems like a perfect opportunity to mention Afrezza, at least a throwaway comment, or even take a puff before the donut. Did he do anything like either of those? (If he did, I missed it.) Well, at least he hawked Jack's Donuts, Duvin Shirts, his U.S. Air Force sponsor, merchandise for his mullet cut, etc.  BTW, the 'Carb Day' they are talking about is "Carburetion Day" (shortened to "Carb Day" since 2000). He actually uses the drug. Mannkind has the money to spend. Mannkind changed gears to focus on type 1. Pun intended. It’s not expensive. is this bad advertising or ppl are bitter about poor sales. Racing fans talk to each other and "Tired of Pricks?" is a subject that will be discussed among many of them. Do you really believe that? I'm friends with a lot of racing fans, and I can't say I've ever heard them talk about anything to do with advertising on a car. You are correct. I’ve attended more races than I can count. Race fans do not talk about the sponsors much at all. Brand loyalty among race fans does exist, but that’s for products like beer or chewing/dipping tobacco, etc. Inhalable insulin? That’s such a stretch, it’s difficult to see this paying off for MannKind. Credit to whomever came up with the car color scheme. It’s so out of the ordinary, kinda like the Jeff Gordon rainbow color scheme when he got started. That worked for Jeff (and his sponsor, DuPont) because he became a dominant driver on the circuit. Conor Daly doesn’t appear to be another Jeff Gordon unfortunately, but we’ll be pulling for him. |

I don't have fancy TV coverage at my house, just lots of rabbits and rabbit ears.  However, my over-the-air schedule/guide shows the race today with pre-race coverage beginning at 1:00 PM CT and the race from 1:30-3:30 PM CT on NBC. Rain looks like it will hold off and stay away from Indy. Go Conor! |

Crap, that only lasted for about a lap - got pushed from the rear and into grass on first lap!  They are reviewing and hopefully Conor can get back in the race. The car did look nice and very readable graphics in the shots I saw. ... And... he's out due to damage to car I believe. |

The car did look nice and very readable graphics in the shots I saw. ... And... he's out due to damage to car I believe. Not even one lap, hit in the very first turn of the first lap. OUT. I hated to see that but, I know they have the entire season to race. Unfortunately, when he climbs back in for the 500, it's in the Air Force sponsored car. |

Oh great ... I was just checking what channel the race would be on. I hope the guy that pushed him was ejected also.

They should just leave the car in the grass ... we'll get visual coverage on every lap. !!!
