Mike did give credit to UTHR for helping to stabilize the company. Some here stated that UTHR’s lifeline with T-DPI wasn’t crucial to MNKD’s survival.

Just have to smile with them. Exactly! Celebrate the moment! There is no downside to this, despite the comments of people on the board who see their mission as adding negative energy to every event. Go MNKD!

It was a nice ceremony and hopefully the beginning of many more happy days to come. If it was not for Martine, Mike probably would not have been there today. Next up - approval.

Did anyone watch CNBC coverage of the opening bell? I wonder what they said about MNKD.

I was watching. they spoke for about 10 seconds about MNKD. Just said it was a BioTech focused on diabetes and lung disease.

Nice ceremony. I counted 20 people behind the podium. More expensive trip than I originally thought.

Nice ceremony. I counted 20 people behind the podium. More expensive trip than I originally thought. Hey - it was a lot cheaper than buying V-Go and the earned advertising is probably worth the trip. It was also a happy moment for MNKD and to be honest we have not had many over the years.

It was a good move to mention UTHR and give them credit, we want people to associate us with UTHR as much as possible. Even though the approval didn’t happen in time for the bell ceremony, it’s still good exposure, as evidenced by this morning’s volume. And hopefully that just means more people are paying attention to MNKD when we do get the approval in a few days.

Hey- long time lurker (and shareholder) here. I just wanted to give some perspective on the bell ceremony. I have done it at the Nasdaq a few times with the company I work for. It’s a fun experience but NOTHING like doing it at the big board (haven’t done personally). You are in a Times Square office building (same one where the board is illuminated on the exterior). There is some finger foods, coffee etc while you wait for the 9:15 prep. Everyone gets together at that time in a studio and “rings” the bell at 9:30. They also do the same for the 4pm bell. Since just your company’s people are there plus a few film staff the energy is entirely dependent on the employees. They then allow each employee to get a photo shoot at the podium. Afterwards everyone goes outside and they put the group and each person on the side of the building. It’s kind of wild to see yourself 3-4 stories tall lol, There is no cost to the company, usually it is to recognize a milestone such as going public, 10th anniversary of such, big announcements or similar items. Which makes me wonder if this has to do with a pending approval. It would be a great marketing tactic but I would have thought it better to have that out before the ringing so the CNBC commentators would have mentioned it.

Thanks for that perspective wanderer. How much time in advance are these ceremonies scheduled?
Seems that we probably tried to guess when approval would happen and time this as closely as we could, so it would be highlighted on TV as you said. But even though that didn’t happen, at least we got the bit of exposure, our volume is robust today and maybe that means more eyes on MNKD for when we (hopefully 🙏🏽🤞🏽) get approval news in a few days?

I’m not involved in the process to say for sure but it was over a month out. They need time to select employees and align schedules. I would say based on what I saw somewhere between 4-8 weeks. Praying for approval soon!

Hey - it was a lot cheaper than buying V-Go and the earned advertising is probably worth the trip. It was also a happy moment for MNKD and to be honest we have not had many over the years. I was surprise Mike commented on V-Go. He said it was for the type two market. It is for the T2 market and more the reason its a misfit for MNKD. The one thing it provides is less jabs at mealtime by pushing the button but why are they using an RAA at mealtime when we have afrezza? Moreover, if they started using afrezza earlier in their progression they wouldn't be using the basal. I would be glad to buy Mike dinner and hear him out but I was really hoping over the weekend he would figure a way to get out of the deal. The hat tip to UTHR was good but I did cringe when he mentioned V-Go.
