UTHR celibrated there new DPI 1 billion dollar a year. There stock is up over $100 in 6mo. MNKD is up a few cents in a couple days and down the last 6mo. But, of course there is the off chance that Mike may crash his car on the way to work, so he tells his family, "IF I make it to work, I'll call and touch base". Jesus help me, the guy can never just be happy and celibrate without the if, if and ifs. Its an on-going problem! The last caller asked about DPI production and keeping up with demand and mike was like if this, if that, if nothing goes wrong we'll be fine. Why, why for gods sake cant you just be "glass half full", instead of glass half empty........ Completely agree. BUT on the flip side is that we will continue to get surprise CC's like this one using this glass half empty strategy. Martine's positivity set the bar too high. I think we all want to see that positivity finally trickle down to Mike. I understand the half empty mindset though considering how many times this company has been screwed over. There eventually will come a point where this will all be in the past and Mike will give us the big smile. UTHR is helping us get there. I hate to be negitive at all, Mike has fundamentally turned this company around BUT, today was a glass half full day, even with the looming recession. With the great news, and rising S&P, Nas

"sayhey24: What is URAA? Ultra Rapid Acting what? 37 minutes ago" Ultra Rapid Acting Analog. When did afrezza become an ANALOG??? Mike did not really say that did he?

MC said the T2 market was too saturated at the moment and that the company's focus on T1 combined with pedo approval will help entry into the T2 market. IMO, this was an excellent call leading to high expectations for the next report. That said, the typical end of year tax sell-off may come first. Did Mike really say that the market is too saturated? It is 10x+ the size of the T1 market and growing like crazy with Covid. We have a treat to fail Standard of Care which everyone knows fails. This is like telling Apple not to make the iPhone 1 because Nokio already had the market cornered. Is the transcript of the call available yet?

Well, I disagree with that, Uvula. Martine was not really being herself at their 3rd qtr earnings call. She was all charged up and she read her script with vigor. That might not be Mike's nature either, but he can do it, too. Heck, even I could do it if I were paid to. Anyone can sound excited. They just need to make an effort and try.
Eh, maybe he's not getting paid enough.

I believe I remember the slide in the slide deck showed "URAA" - the slide deck should be available somewhere too...

Slide 9 in the earnings call slide deck has the title "Improved NRx Market Share YTD in URAA". I interpret that to mean Afrezza NRx market share in the world of Ultra Rapid Acting Analog competitors. edge.media-server.com/mmc/p/vt2bsuxy

Yes - the slide did show URAA which is why I raised the question. It may not seem like a big deal but its a huge deal calling afrezza an analog and Mike can not let them put it in an analog class. There is an entire sales strategy which can be developed around how it is not an analog. Here is what they posted - they pulled the slide which had URAA investors.mannkindcorp.com/static-files/92d4a5eb-72b6-4527-9951-6e613d4edac8

For those complaining that V-Go is a failure (you know who you are), you need only consider that we spent 14MM to acquire it together with millions in inventory. We spent more than $2 billion on Afrezza to date but V-Go generated half as much as Afrezza did in Q3 2022. Do the math then you can talk...

Of course v go looks good compared to the failures of Afrezza. The math is vgo sales are shrinking. negative growth right now. Projecting no growth. 20 to 22m per year. Still it was a win win low risk money making acquisition. A type 2 product for the elderly. Not competing with type 1/afrezza.

Weird bar to set, "oh yeah, but it's still better than our other product that has lost billions!"
