Whether Kendall was or wasn't a part of acquiring V-Go doesn't matter to me. What matters is how V-Go contributes to the bottom-line going forward.

I know Mannkind is hoping to get its money back from buying V-Go, but isn't the acquisition really a long term play to get introductions and the opportunity to build more long term relationships with the doctors in the diabetes space? In the meantime, if it can limp along and generate some revenue towards getting close to getting their money back, couldn't this turn out to be a cost effective way to continue its crawl into the market playing the long game. V-Go should certainly become obsolete at some point, but the story will continue to unfold. I don't have any problems with the acquisition at this point through this lens. I'd this has already been discussed, I apologize. GLTA.

More fun to represent more than one product when making sales calls. V-Go is making material contributions to the earnings report, and when I was in the role of writing business cases, a believable less-than-two-year ROI was considered an appealing business case. I don't remember the exact numbers, and I welcome correction, but I think that 2-year ROI time frame is similar for the V-Go acquisition. If so, than it seems a reasonable candidate for a pearl in the "string of pearls" M&A strategy.

I think that's something I don't want to talk about now, but as we get ready for next year, that's kind of where some of that capital can go, which is how do you re purpose V-Go outside of diabetes. And we think it's a platform device that can be leveraged for other products. So that's an area that we're looking at.

Indeed, a lot is being "referenced" by posters, I'd even suggest posters are rarely doing more than guessing or feeding the water cooler conversation with conjecture. Kendall goes to Zealand, Mannkind ends up buying V-Go, so there must be some connection. I happen to KNOW there wasn't. The reality is simply that Kendall is an authority in the diabetes world and went to work for another pharma company in the same field, a European company struggling to make that product profitable and ended up unloading an asset, that's it. I find it interesting also. I don't know Kendall. I do know he has a great resume and when he showed up I for one thought we finally have someone who understands the community. He then said this would be the easiest job he ever had and that he has uncovered Al's lost studies which he called "nuggets of gold". He also said the issue with afrezza and T2s was it was not part of the ADA's Standard of Care. So far I am loving it. Then he does the small study, has some great results and gets a minor afrezza mention for T1 SoC. Then BOOM, he is gone. OK Phd what happened? Not that his departure is connected but this was at the same time Mounjaro was coming into the home stretch of trials. This was also at the same time Lilly was clearing the way for the Mounjaro launch. Then Kendall shows up as a consultant at the V-Go company which MNKD then buys and Phd you say Kendall had NO part of this. OK, I have no reason to doubt you but assuming this is true this is even more concerning. Are you telling us Mike gets hooked up with this company out of the blue and never picks up the phone to say "Dave, what do you think about V-Go? Is it a good fit with afrezza?" Agree, it does seem unlikely that zero conversions occurred between the two of them. Unless the two were not on good terms when Kendall left us. But phdedieu seems confident that Kendall’s presence at ZEAL was merely coincidence, hopefully will share with us something to indicate he actually does know that.

Some of us will. You don’t have to, that’s your choice.

Speculation is expected on internet message boards, and is completely acceptable. It is not acceptable to claim you KNOW something that has not been released to the public unless you have confidential inside information. Do you? Kendall has nothing to do with the sale, think what you will....it's a free country

According to Mike on one of the calls, Mannkind and it's board of directors have been watching V-GO since Al was still around. hope that helps

Sounds like a Mannkind rep to me …but I don’t know, maybe we’ll find out…”next week” :-)

I shared a fact, you don't have to like it or believe it. And like prc said quite accurately, it truly is immaterial. I'll refrain from offering information moving forward

Porkini, since I don't see several of the response I provided on this thread, care to tell me why my posts were removed?? Always nice to know what the rules are, or maybe tell a poster what rule was broken, otherwise I don't see the point of being on or part of this board
