Whilst the daily chart is on day 10 of 13 of a DeMark Sequential Sell Countdown, with the recent higher high of $5.51 it looks like its building cause a la Wyckoff (i.e. consolidating) to break resistance. Here's the weekly chart which puts some simple Fibonacci price extensions on the recent waves starting at the Oct 2022 low. The DeMark price projection at $6.43 (magenta cross) based on the breakout above the last 6 weeks of action, is above the long-term trend lines.  |

After the run-up in January, MNKD has formed a little head and shoulders or diamond shape over the last 2 weeks. Maybe traders will try to push it down over the next 2 weeks before the week of earnings. It will be hard to control price the week of earnings.
Edit: For the last 2 weeks 5.10 has been an important support level. Bounced 4 times off 5.10.

Exactly. Consider the backdrop: A terribly uncertain market with a bearish sentiment, a devastating earthquake in the poorest area of Turkey, and sinister Chinese spy balloons floating overhead. Mix this with a long cold Winter in many places and voila! What you get is what you see. Under the circumstances, I'm pleased with where things stand. Anyone else loving these minuscule volume days, with anticipation of what’s to come when volume comes in soon? I like that we’re adrift in the $5s instead of the $4s, but I do not have much confidence about a big bump in share price as a lead up to the next earnings report or afterwards with a new floor in the $6s or higher. I think that would require an optimism coupled with speculation. I think optimism is growing with respect to MNKD, but the market is losing its appetite or tolerance for speculation and will be more inclined to value companies on fundamentals. I think this cautious outlook is also an inhibiting factor for technicals that doesn’t show up in the charts which predict future behavior on the past without (I assume) an input for investor market bull/bear sentiment. I will be delighted to be wrong. |
