Actually have been since February 15th. Ten long years. Bought my first shares on 4/16/13. I recently retired from my company after 25 years and took my pension which was going to take a 30% hit due to interest rates if i didn't retire and take it before the end of 2022.
I decided to move my 401k and pension (both at the same broker) into a managed account and part of that process was selling all my holdings. Net of net after 10 years of investing in MNKD was $9012. Not what I was expecting or hoping for but at least it wasn't a loss. I can still recall being down 60% and holding on for dear life lol waiting for it to come back.
I miss the stock, one of a few that I had some emotional attachment to but I don't miss the "pain and suffering" that has been part of the ride. I might pop in from time to time but wanted to say an official "goodbye and good luck to you all". Who knows maybe I'll dip my toe back in somewhere down the road to help offset college for the 2 kids GLTA! <wave>

novafett Sorry to see you go, but I get it. Some of my holdings are also in two retirement accounts, a 457 and a 401 so when I leave my current employer and want to roll it over with the rest of the majority of my retirement holdings from my first career, I'm going to be in the same boat. I'm thankful to have made a boatload at a very much lower cost average but, I don't want to sell either. I'm still at least 3 years away from my second pension but in the mean time, I'm happy to be up over 125%. Others here are bag holders and I'm not exempt. I have some positions in other stocks that I'm waiting for them to turn around. I can say this, whatever your reason to sell...good luck. CEO sells and we have board members who post that he's not allowed to ever make any money, use the preplanned sale of shares under IRS code 10b5-1 or sell for tax purposes. Imagine, it must be the "optics" again.

novafett, I think of you fondly since a Conference Call years ago, when you showed your fine sentence of humor in the comment section of the shout box. Best of luck to you. Ridem cowboy.

novafett ... doing a rough in of your numbers ... it looks like you have a gain of $14,076.69 (disregarding the first 260 shares because I don't have your cost)
Average cost per share is $3.433 ... today MNKD is at $4.32.
So, I have to assume that you sold those shares at various times to come up with that $9012 number. (Using a managed account might have been part of the problem.)
In any case, as I said before ... when we hit $5/share we go straight to $10/share.
Sorry to see you go ... take care.
But, that's mytakeonit

Congratulation novafett on your retirement!
This stock's future is so clear and cloudy at the same time. Clear it has so many possible ways to increase revenue. Cloudy that the price keeps skidding along at such a low price. I am with you, this is getting really old.

Thanks for the update nova and congrats on the retirement! In the unlikely event you miss being a MNKD shareholder, remember that "buying opportunity" and "cheap shares" are phrases often heard in MNKD World so it ain't difficult to jump back on the merry-go-round!

Before I posted I went to my Closed section at my broker and looked at the total which came to roughly 9k.

What a disappointing stock. I'm almost given up on mnkd. Maybe one more year. I been saying that to myself way too long. Good luck on your retirement.

If you're retiring then you "won." Congratulations! And happy to hear you ended your time here on a high note, with some gains and no loses. Hope to see you around again.

Sorry to see you go. I probably will never get out. I bought 50,000 shares via Al Mann prior to MNKD going public. I've see it all...ups and down. As you may remember, the stock did a 1:3 reverse split when it went public, do I went down to 16,667 shares, then slowly built up to 275,000 shares. Then came the infamous 1:5 reverse split, so at 55,000 shares I'm right back to where i started in numbers of shares. In reality, I have "lost" $2,500,000 in worth. However, I am a believer that Afrezza will ultimately win out. Let's hope so...it's only money. Go Longs.

Who knows what the future will bring with this stock, but as one who started around the same time as you did, I think the future looks as bright as ever for MNKD. I've learned a lot about investing since I bought my first MNKD. I too am attached to this stock because of its story. It's been a case study in how important timing, luck and good management are to a company's success, and also a lesson in how having good ideas and products is not enough to guarantee success. Exubera's approval and commercial failure was really unfortunate for MNKD and Afrezza. Mostly, it's been a lesson in patience. The company always thought that Afrezza would be licensed or purchased by a big pharma. That might have occurred except for the hiring of Olivier Brandicourt at Sanofi in 2015. At the time, Brandicourt knew he would only be CEO until he turned 65 because of a company policy, and he retired in 2019. In the meantime, Brandicourt pursued a corporate board mandate of purging drugs with lackluster sales. Afrezza had just completed its first year as a licensed product and Brandicourt took the opportunity to exercise a surprise one year termination. (As I recall he had been at Pfizer to endure the Exubera failure). It has been a long, painful slog since then. Pivoting to become a biopharma with a sales force was a tall order, as was actually learning about insurance coverage, marketing, and dosing. Nearly 10 years out, they have still not gotten to break even. Tyvaso DPI has been a lifesaver. IMO, if Mike can ink one more deal for another product partnership using Technosphere, we are off to the races. You might want to hold on to a few shares and check in occasionally. Good luck novafett and all the best! Chris C

I "only" lost a fraction of that on paper, but to me it was enough to have a severe impact on my finances and self-confidence. Fortunately I made up for it later, especially with TSLA, but man, I would not be as forgiving/charitable toward a company as you seem to be after losing two and half mil. Your composure runs rings around mine.
