Yeah I think the Vegas party talk started back in the yahoo board days. It was a recurring theme before eventually becoming just a reminder of what was “supposed” to be. Oh well, I was looking forward to witnessing the pit bosses panic at seeing MTOI coming to clean out their coffers 🫣🤩

There was much optimism after the FDA bent to the will of the Advisory Committee (AdComm) that unanimously recommended approval of Afrezza inhalable mealtime insulin for adults with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. And even more enthusiasm after Dr. Mann and team signed the world-wide marketing agreement for Afrezza with Chris Viehbacher, then CEO for Sanofi. That agreement was worth over $1B in milestone payments and royalties. That agreement was to be the engine of growth for the TechnoSphere pipeline platform that Tyvaso DPI has now become. That was almost 10 years ago. It isn’t surprising that BD doesn’t remember. The Vegas party enthusiasm may have been expressed on Yahoo! Message Board where some that post here also posted there. That’s long enough ago I don’t remember if Vegas parties were talked about on ProBoards, but I think it was, briefly. If MNKD goes north of $20 in the next 2 years, I’d be interested in a celebration with longs, but would want it at an annual shareholder’s meeting. I hope it happens.

What a weird time warp. |

What a weird time warp. The "veins of gold" remark was made by Dr. David Kendall in regard to study material produced by MannKind about Afrezza, not TechnoSphere.
Mining gold from TS has been difficult because MannKind nearly went bankrupt after Oliver Brandicoot, the CEO who took over from Chris Viehbacher at Sanofi months after the $1B+ marketing agreement was inked and who had previously presided over a disastrous launch of Exubera (sp?), inhalable RAA insulin (administered with a large plastic bong) at Pfizer and chose to abrogate the contract with MannKind.
But here we still are almost 10 years after the first FDA-approved TS-enabled product (hailed as "life changing" by many users), which permitted MannKind to evade bankruptcy long enough to convert on an opportunity to develop Tyvaso DPI which has been selling much better than originally anticipated and which is contributing to the hope for profitability, potentially in 2023. And well beyond profitable in the next couple of years where we can hope we also convert on Afrezza (finally) based on results from India, the pump switch trial, and the all-important pediatric approval trial. Additionally, the 2 other candidates in the pipeline, clofazimine and nintedanib, may begin to contribute revenue as well.
I'm guessing $20 may happen in that next 2 years and we could begin, again, finally, to plan a celebration. I no longer think about the reverse split because while I was affected by it, many investors weren't, and new investors certainly aren't. That was almost 7 years ago and no longer relevant for current investment (and celebration) considerations.
