9,200 Jan $7 calls traded today! Just throwing that out there, wow That is interesting. But I’m assuming the price was a nickel or even less (is there any way we can check that)? And MannKind Corp (Symbol: MNKD) options are showing a volume of 14,071 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 1.4 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 68.6% of MNKD's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 2.1 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $7 strike call option expiring January 19, 2024, with 9,195 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 919,500 underlying shares of MNKD. As per TDA, 7's traded 9,125 contracts today, open interest = 11,106 (!)
No real way to tell what they actually traded for, but less than .05 I'd bet.

As per TDA, 7's traded 9,125 contracts today, open interest = 11,106 (!) No real way to tell what they actually traded for, but less than .05 I'd bet. so open interest this morning is 8,369. I was hoping to see around 20k this morning. Interesting that 9,200 traded yesterday, and the total effect was lowering open interest by around 3k. |

Very Low volume so far today. Normal volume has been going down, however @ 300,000 shares the 1st hour of trade is more normal.

Usually, the analysts I follow pay attention to the 2-year, the 10-year and sometimes the 20. Apparently, the traders are watching closely and expecting armageddon if the 30-year holds above 5%. It has touched it a couple times recently and they expect stocks to really suffer in a world of over 5-6% interest rates. That's what I've heard about the mumblings so far this week.

Volume is 191K shares traded in 20 minutes. Works out to about 3.6M shares traded on the day if the volume were to hold (which I doubt). Up modestly .02 to $4.13 at this early point in the day.
