Thanks, mannmade, it seems as though the desire to short for that most recent reporting period was not quite as strong as before! But it still grows! Really interesting.

With the percentage short combined with days to cover, seems like it ought be 'sneeze-a-squeeze'.
Its bizarre beyond belief.

Another 3.1 million short shares covered. It isn't a stampede for the exits but it appears that the risk/reward profile is not as attractive for short interests. Short interest is still too high IMO.

Price closed at $5.67 on 12/26. Since the report is based on 12/31 settlement date, not trading date. Notice on 12/31 it was shorted down to 5.21. Its a game to show their is slight covering but I doubt there was much as those 3MM shares were reshorted right away after the reporting date.

Time to dust of this thread, I believe short interest will be published after close on Tuesday. I'm looking at 72.5 million, down about 3 million.

I bought some shares two week ago and they were borrowed out last week also Fidelity raised the rate that they pay on borrowed shares to 10 1/2% yesterday.(from 9 3/4%)

I've given up making predictions, but I also believe that short interest will be published after Tuesday close.
If forced, however, I would predict that short interest will remain steady with perhaps a slight 1% drop.

Spiro says down over 4 million on this reporting date, but probably back up to over 75 million the past 7 days.

Nope but another good guess...again the song that came to mind is relative to the theme of the thread, I know that cha cha changes could be applicable though
