So basically we can expect the war to go on. Too bad, I was hoping, the way the stock has been trading, that there would have been capitulation from, at lest, some of the shorts. it looks to me they might be letting it build with a fresh crop of investors and stop losses before they decide to hit again. Any theories?

Keep in mind this is SI from oct 1-15. The stock was relatively flat in that period. The current period we are in is probably the one we will see it wind down a tad

With Nov right around the corner new, good information about the partnership will start and hopefully there will be more communication about a sales start date (1st Qtr 2015), EU submission (~200 approval after that), and milestone payments (and production expansion?). The shorts case will weaken and investors will jump on any selling and shorts will start looking for the exit. What I want to see is the IBB have a down or flat day while MNKD is up nicely. That to me shows investors are buying into MNKD and starting to get interested/excited about MNKD. |

Any time we see Mnkd rising on a down market day, we have seen a few of those lately, is a good thing. It could possibly indicate we are really turning a point. Money generally follows the path of least resistance, so on up days we might not see MNKD advancing much, but if the sentiment turns and Mnkd is still green, that, to me, indicates the stock is perceived as a safe and good mid term investment, when compared to other things out there. However, that would not alter much, for the time being, any short planned attacks. All this IMO, of course. We should soon see. |

Any theories? All have a good weekend. EofD, capitulation from the shorts? Now? Huh? Celebration, yes, profit-taking, yes, but capitulation, no!! If our stock starting rising to the 7's and 8's and 9's, then we might see some capitulation from existing (aka "exiting") shorts, but likely there would be a new generation of shorts born as the price rises. Many, many biotech investors think Afrezza will fail, they haven't spent 1/10 of 1% as much time studying in as most here have, so they don't know how risky it would be to short MNKD on the way up at this point. |

Babaoriley, I fully agree with that assessment. The science is not complicated, but it seems shorts have no interest in actually learning about it at all. Of course the same thing could be said about many so called longs. They all tread down the path at their on risk... or maybe they have a lot more momo than me. Oh well, not my money, so who cares. What do 82,027,036 shorts know that we don't know? Who can explain this to me. What is the reason for the increase? There must be something that we can't figure out as bagholders?

Ultimately, Bradley, I think we'll turn out okay, but the road there promises to continue to be daunting, with short numbers like that! Well, that's what we have this board for, keep everyone grounded, but positive, and to help each other through the bear raids, hit pieces and the like.
