My point is that why can't we even know what is in the 10-Q? Think if there is something substantial in the redactions, the SEC would allow it to be hidden from shareholders? As share holders shouldn't we know? Personally I think the redactions don't hide anything. And here we are on Dec. 27th with no exact date of launch, Still don't know 100% sure how many lines are running. Do you really believe that info is being withheld for competitive reasons? You said a lot. What do we know that has come from SNY or MNKD that wasn't disclosed in August the pertains to "A"? |

Ok so I know where this is going. The speculation path down the mdt SNY mnkd road. Since I'm not very interested in if, I.e if it happens great, otherwise ok. I do my DD based on percentages and frankly this idea is so far out there Id rather not entertain it.
Anyway, we know there is one line up. We know that three lines are built. We know CMC either just happened or will happen soon. We know production capabilities, we know why the milestone line item sits where it does. We know there are $75mil manuf milestones left and we know the rest are sales and intl approval milestones.
If you look at what is actually redacted in the 10Q, you'll see it all pertains to cost structuring, cogs, pricing, anticipated demand, and milestone structure. And yes, it's redacted for competitive reasons.

They aren't hiring burger flippers at McDonald's That's my point they're not McDonald's burger flippers why are these jobs filled prior to November and I know all of them would not have jobs to do but shouldn't we have these people already hired plus they could've been used for training if it's a night shift manager he could been on days watching what goes onor assembly-line guys to get on-the-job training understand what they need to do |

And if their site didn't show they needed to hire, then what, would we conclude that they don't expect to grow? C'mon, everything is good at this time. Just waiting for launch by Feb 1, with additional buzz among the diabetes community leading up to it and continuing beyond. I'd love to see a Dr. Oz type devote a time slot on their show about this, perhaps he can invite that UM doc, Skylar, to be his guest!

I think you guys are reading too much into things. I believe SNY & MNKD are working hard behind the scene to make sure launch actually launches. Some have mentioned the Football term the "Red Zone" , we are there & just a few short weeks away from reaching the end zone. Have some faith in SNY & their dedicated Afrezza sales reps to get the job done! Otherwise sell your shares & invest in something less risky. Just my 2 cents.... I BELIEVE

I think this tread contains a lot of micromanagement based on very patchy information maybe?
From the big picture perspective it may not be that important unless there is something significant that hints to a major deficiency. If so this would obviously be very interesting to know and figure out. Are the concerns expressed above significant or just minor points because we are bored waiting and need 'distractions'?

I often try to envision myself in their shoes to see if there is a plausible motive for some action. With regard to #1, it could truly be that the accountants said it had to be done that way. I'm guessing it might also have been that the accountants said they could make the plausible case that it would be appropriate to delay revenue recognition rather than that it was strictly necessary. So why would a company want to do that... because recognizing a one time lump of revenue is given very little credit by wall street and just makes for bad comparisons with following periods. Having $150M that you can recognize later can give some flexibility to do it at a time where it could help show steady revenue growth rather than having revenue spike up and then drop to almost nothing. As for your comment about the possibility that nothing important was in the redacted material of the 10-Q... we know that there was a table of projected sales that was part of the redaction. Certainly that is the type of info that companies often do not wish to announce to their competitors. I think it is good that it got put in the agreement, as SNY would then need to make some reasonable effort to achieve the goal or leave themselves open to being accused of acting in bad faith. However, I don't feel that this info is something that I, as a shareholders, are necessarily entitled to have. I don't get it from other biotec stocks I own. |

It's simple. I've been involved in this stuff before. Sometimes old requisitions don't get closed even though it remains listed. Sometimes the job gets filled but they leave it open to build a depth of talent that they can go to later even though there's no position currently available. Sometimes they hire the position under another requisition and they just don't take down the artifact job opening.
At the end of the day, they are hiring what they need, there are no real gaps, and shareholders shouldn't worry about that aspect of the business.

(Personally I believe earlier) and there might be reasons for redactions. So again, in the past 4 months what have we learned DIRECTLY from SNY and/or MNKD? |
