Pursuant to the agreement, MannKind previously received a $150 million upfront payment and is eligible to earn up to $725 million in further development, regulatory and sales milestones, and is also eligible to receive a share of profits on sales of Afrezza.

Just what was the 50 million payment for in terms of "milestone." I am suspecting that Mannkind has at least the second line up and running and certified. Keeping my fingers and "eyes" crossed!!!

It's a shame they don't tell us what the milestones are for. It could be for the second line but if we're guessing, I'll wager it's for meeting the pre-launch production goal Must load the gun before firing it after all  |

Having difficulty finding the reason the $50M payment. Here's part of a George Rho SA article from Aug 12th '14. The details of the milestone payments haven't been spelled out yet, but the biotech stands to receive another $75 million for achieving certain development and manufacturing objectives, $50 million for Afrezza getting to market in Japan and Europe, and up to $650 million for reaching certain sales milestones, the first one at $250 million. So I would have expected a $75M payment not $50M. Maybe $50M is for Development milestone while the other $25M is for Manufacturing? I don't think the $50M is from getting to market in Japan and Europe... |

Imo $25 mil for line 2/3 CMC
$25 mil for prelaunch # goal
$25 mil for 12 cartridge submission/approval
Lines 2/3 are ready boys and girls

SNY presents at JP Morgan on Monday. The hope is that they enlighten us as to the launch details.

hmmmm...could be interesting day. Some of the "weak" shorts could start to panic and begin covering. Overall market looks strong. Some Positive news. Expect some increased trading volume on MNKD shares today. However - Some big bets by shorts to keep share price down before January option expiration........will be fun to watch

SNY presents at JP Morgan on Monday. The hope is that they enlighten us as to the launch details. I agree $50 million for the inventory buildup. I hope we get some news next week from both SNY/MNKD |

If you read the 10-q, MNKD has 10 days to notify SNY of the milestone and sny has 45 days to pay MNKD. If you go back 55 days you are at the start of production. Therefore I very much doubt this is all inventory related.
Further in the 10k there are 3 line items for manuf and we know that they total 75 mil
