Mr. Stevenson (assuming that is your surname). Have you considered putting materials together and presenting it to 60 Minutes? There is plenty to cover the hour. Al Mann's accomplishments could take up a third, the 10-year struggle with the FDA could take up a third, and the third segment would portray the challenges of winning over the established medical community, which includes social media efforts by Sam, Eric and Spiro (the Type "2 Slices of Pizza" guy).
A healthy whiff of scandal, implied by the behavior of the SEC and FDA gives you the makings of a fine 60 Minutes piece (or similar venue with less viewership). One might even say it would be controversial (gasp).
BTW, contact U.S. Senator Al Franken (Minnesota) whose re-election campaign included a promise to go after stock market manipulators - I think he used the words "hedge funds" but I wouldn't imply that they should be categorically lumped together as evil. Franken is serious about the cause and including possible Congressional action in the story may be a good thing.
It depends what, as director, you or baba want to accomplish. Want a tear-jerking story that goes directly to the diabetic? Focus less on the company's history and more on the life-changing impacts Afrezza is having and how folks are reaching out with social media. Want, instead, a story of a drug that might change diabetes treatment forever, but was almost squashed by powerful forces arrayed against it? Focus on the history, implied corruption and scandalous apathy by our government agencies who appear to be willing to let life-changing drugs never get to market if it goes against the wishes of powerful forces for the status quo.
What story do you want to tell?

We could all take a minute or two out of our day to send an email to 60 minutes , Al Mann's life story alone would be a hit ! But should they choose not to pursue despite public interest , it would further open our eyes as to how much media is manipulated ... I do love that show tho as it always reminds me of my Dad whom I lost way too early ...I'd be more than willing to write them but it'd be more effective if we all participated Lynn

No to 60 min., if after the documentary they want to air it and have the participants on there, that's cool but Itoo have to generate enough interest first
I won't be covering the sec and fda, that'll be a turn off to diabetic, that won't help with what the mission is on the documentary. It's to show how this drug can change a diabetics life back to normal, brief background and Al and the company. It absolutely nothing relating to short interest, how this stock is manipulated, goldmans downgrade.
This is not for the stock but for the awareness. Doing it to talk about the stock will be a joke

Dstevenson, I wasn't referring to us sending an email to address the stock , but for what you mentioned and then some , there's a great documentary out called "American Addict " that reflects how much the FDA is in bed w/ Big Pharma & it's a worthy watch . I see the opposite playing out with Mannkind as it 's a small fish in a Big Pond that happens to have a life changing drug available that is getting shunned by Wallstreet . Watch that documentary , it's an eye opener . I'm happy to sit back & watch the story unfold as it's meant too Lynn

I don't know about this idea, The Type 1 guy has gotten lot more experience being the star at the AdCom and training meeting . It would be very difficult for the rather shy but charming Type 2 guy to be filmed with such a powerful celebrity like the Type 1 guy. But, after thinking about it, the Type 2 guy might consider something like this. The Type 2 guy comes walking out of dark tunnel, with the music from Space Odyssey 2001 playing. If this doesn't work, it would at least have to be some good Bull fight music. Baba probably already has the exclusive contract on the bloopers and blunders tape. Using the Type 2 guy in this video might not be a good idea. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwxYiVXYyVs

Baba, I have a few different friends who make professional documentary films and even have one friend who won an Academy Award for a short film he made in 2012. It takes a long time, often more than a year, just to record it. It then takes a couple of months to edit. It would take another six months to enter it in a multitude of film festivals and then another several months to show it in those festivals. Then it would go to NetFlix where the producer(s) would try and recoup their expenses.
It's likely that it would be close to two years before much of the public would see the film. But, having said that, how cool would it be if by that time the public was seeing advertising on mainstream television for Afrezza and it being embraced by a million diabetics?
What would really be great would be if PBS picked it up and showed it on Frontline. There is also a BBC version of that type of show called Storyville. That is really the way to go... Rob PS: Morgan Spurlock, host of the CNN show, Inside Man, may be perfect for this too. He started out with a movie called Super Size Me in 2004 in which he lived on nothing but McDonalds and nearly died. Now, he's hugely successful. He's a good film maker. Check out his site: morganspurlock.com/about-morgan/There is a management contact phone number there. Perhaps, someone could compose a four paragraph email and try and pitch Morgan the idea. And, of course, there is always Michael Moore. This would be right up his alley too. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_MooreBut, with almost 2 million Twitter followers you would need to find someway to reach him through his contacts. I doubt that he has a manger and finding a contact that he will see will be a challenge.

Hey, Rob, all these things sound pretty exciting, and, actually, there would likely be a decent audience for this subject matter. I still think some time needs to pass before actually going to the users for documentary purposes, but I can understand everyone feeling the sooner the better. I like the idea of the little underground documentary/film. If it happens to go viral in the social media savvy diabetic community, that may spawn the interest for a story from a network. But, still I'd wait a while, just to make sure we've go lots of Afrezza fans out there that are actually using the product. Also, I obviously loved this line of yours: "He started out with a movie called Super Size Me in 2004 in which he lived on nothing but McDonalds and nearly died. Now, he's hugely successful." Nicely done, Rob!

As I became increasingly cool (a process that has not stopped to this day), I came to be okay with it - 2001 is still stunning visually, and of course, that sound track. 1 x 4 x 9, 1 x 4 x 9..... I like your entrance, but can also see you coming into a crowded, cheering stadium via parachute, Dreamboat in hand, with Wagner's Ride of the Valkries blaring!
