Yes, I can understand the argument that SNY is under no obligation to confirm their commitment to the partnership. After all, the partnership agreement is still in place and no one has said that's changed any. However, I can't understand why SNY refuses to say anything about the product itself. Wouldn't it be in their own interest to say something positive about Afrezza?? We seem to have a much lower status than other partners (eg. Regeneron and Zealand) when it comes to any promotional communications from SNY. Plus, any positive word from SNY would have an outsized benefit to MNKD while costing SNY practically nothing. Their silence ends up becoming a bigger (and negative) issue because its so curious and seemingly unnecessary. This is not the corporations with potential game changing products work. The less the competition knows, the better. If you're worried, sell. I'm sitting on 20,000 shares, 5,000 of which I bought last week and I'm not going anywhere. promotional is promotional..marketing plans is not and is different that promotional. People got to know the product.. Why wouldnt the competition know .. they would know and already know as much as we know.. Saying Afrezza is a game changer by SNY wouldnt give the competitors advantage as every twitter post says that and every person (including so called competition ) that knows afrezza knows its a game changer. Care to explain how "The less the competition knows, the better" and what exactley is referenced in the "Know"

I haven't sold any shares short. And, I don't think SNY will back out of the partnership with MannKind. I don't see the logic in it from Sanofis perspective.
Unfortunately I also don't see the logic of averaging down in a company that may not survive. I don't see MannKind declaring bankruptcy in the next 6 months, but in the next 12 months it's a real possibility unless there is good news. Good news would allow MannKind to raise cash.
There is many opportunities for good news, but dilution is almost a certainty. I don't see MannKind bringing any of the TS opportunities to market without dilution (even with a partnership).
I may change my mind after listening to the new CEO, but to buy MNKD today is to buy on unsubstantiated hope, and that's not good enough.

Of course they do. Do they know what SNY's full launch plans and ongoing support strategy is? I doubt it, and I wouldn't want SNY telling them about it either. If Sanofi did, the competition could respond with a spending blitz that could make the uptake of Afrezza even worse.

seanismorris ... It's not JUST unsubstantiated hope for me... I had an oversized portion of collards and black eyed peas on new years day, and as anyone with Southern heritage knows, that almost guarantees I'll have financial success this year (so let's call it unsubstantiated hope AND superstition)

If Sanofi did, the competition could respond with a spending blitz that could make the uptake of Afrezza even worse. Afrezza is garnering 400 scripts per week on average (that's generous) with a U.S. diabetic population of 29.1 million. That's 8 scripts per week per state, if you break it down that way. Now imagine a state like California or New York or Texas in terms of population. There's probably more people in your local Starbucks, than have been prescribed Afrezza statewide. Sales can't get much worse than they already are. If SNY sales reps are that incompetent and that's the best they can do, I suggest they fire them all immediately. If they are competent, and I can only imagine they are working for a global powerhouse like SNY, then it's troubling why they can't garner more than that. SNY wouldn't have to lay out their marketing strategy to express support. Any generic statement would do it yet they haven't. At this point I'd rather they cut MNKD loose and terminate or do their job. Status quo is unacceptable. P.S. I hope I'm just teeing up the talking points for the new CEO when he finally takes the reins and starts communicating with shareholders. I like his fire. We need it now more than ever.

Turns out fiber lowers post meal blood glucose levels, by slowing gastric emptying as well as improving mobility. Beans, soluble fiber, collards insoluble fiber.

I transferred my yearly max into my TFSA today and bought 2900 shares...........doesn't look like my Jan $5 call options are going to be worth anything, enough with the call options, I have 2017 options, but am so disillusioned with options now that I will only buy actual shares....I will ride them to the moon or to zero, one way or the other............

I haven't kept as detailed records as you, but after being assigned higher priced options on puts I sold that expired last weekend, I'm up to $2.48. But I think I'm done buying for awhile. My position is larger than I would like it to be. Of course, I will wish it was higher when it goes up. If I buy anymore, my Afrezza using and lioving husband will divorce me and then I'll have to run off with Kball, whose wife will have ejected him as well.

Hell no I don't want to accumulate more. I'm looking to get out of Dodge at $2.99. This company may have good private investing but their management is still improving (borderline sucks beyond belief status). 2016 is a write off year for MannKind as far as I'm concerned unless Google (*ahem* Verily?) or some other company showed interest (highly unlikely). My hat's off to those who are accumulating at these levels...you have true courage while I am held hostage by this retarded PPS.

No cat food here. You would be amazed what I can probably cook up picking green stuff from nature! You and I will not only survive, but we will thrive. On the up side, eating such low calorie, low carbohydrate diet will probably insure that we never get diabetes!
