I was one of the people that called on the Concierge at MGM on 9/7/15. First I called to the front desk to ask if Sanofi was going to be there this week and they said yes. I asked can you give me an approximate amount of people. He didn't really no so he transferred me to Conceirge where I spoke with Oscar. Nice guy. Oscar said yes there are about 1400- 1500 EXPECTED at the conference. I asked what the name of the conference/meeting was. Oscar said Sanofi Afrezza. I didn't even mention the name Afrezza. I don't think that he could have made the mistake from Aventis. He was reading from somewhere. What it means I have no clue.. but that is the facts. Fact for sure. Next fact SNY hates MNKD investors....lol Especially the ones snooping around and almost getting arrested.... not mentioning any names LOL!! Someone we know and love had 4 (no exaggeration) security guards approach them at least 75 feet from the registration desk ...said you'd think it was Fort Knox... |

Wow, so the secrecy only gets thicker....
I gotta say I like it. It's kinda like knowing what the CIA, FBI, & Col Nathon Jessup are doing, we shouldn't!!!! It tells me SNY is carefully moving along AS PLANNED. That, along with the actions of Al and MNKD, confirm to me that, as Al said, we shareholders will be very happy.
The downside however, is that all this secrecy is based on competitive reasons. Which tells me that nothing is going to happen to MNKD share price until SNY is completely ready to move forward "competitively". I come to that conclusion because I can't think of one catalyst to move the sp that wouldn't let the cat out of SNY's bag.
Taking care of the debt in Aug was about the only one I could think of, but what a debacle that has become.

As I mentioned earlier, I just happened to be in Vegas for a meeting that began when the Afrezza training was ending in January. I When I went to snoop at Aria (and rummage through all the conf room trash looking for brochures, notes, etc.), I brought an attractive female co-worker to run interference and take the attention away from any guards that might have wanted to have me removed.
Little did I know that our friend on this board Brentie beat me to it and got there minutes before I did. Good job Brentie!!

Well, I heard back from my friend who attended the Conf. He's traveling and tired, but did share a little.
"We" (investors) were the subject of many conversations. He said that he has NEVER been at a meeting w/so much security. The reason security was so tight was because of "crazy investors". (He immediately thought of me). They were warned that investors might try to infiltrate meetings, breaks, lobby, bar etc. "Not to speak to anyone". He said that initially they were spooked as that's never been the case at any of the meetings he's attended over 10 years.
What he did say: ( I quoted what he said w/"")
He said that things were "very positive, but nothing earth shattering".
They would be trying "some new approaches".
There would be some "new messages" w/regards to "communications".
He has a feeling "there may be a nice uptick in scripts coming in 4th qt".
"THE PUBLIC DISAPPOINTMENT IN THE FINANCIAL WORLD IS NOT SHARED BY MNKD OF SNY" (This I thought was important as he stressed that).
What he did not say: Anything about Google, Insurance, Spirometry, or specific advertising strategies.
When I asked if they reminded them of their confidentiality agreement when leaving the meeting, he said, "Yes, we went to a great party last night a Hakkasan". (This was clearly him telling me that he said all that he should or could at the moment).. I asked again and got a similar answer.
As I hear more in days to come, I will be sure to share. For whatever it's worth, I bought more at the end of the day during the dip prior to speaking to him. GLTA!!

Zieg - thanks for the update, this is great info. Did you get a sense for the number of reps present? I've never felt good about the number of reps after the Toujeo launch, felt like tens of reps.
I know you are the messenger and I appreciate that but I can't see how MNKD is not disappointment. They are not in a position to complain about their partner but in May they were 8 weeks behind the script plan. They must be many months behind at this point and is disappointing to all invested in MNKD including employees.
I asked Matt two weeks ago on that same topic and he said he could not comment on how far behind they are now.
