Sanofi will present their business plan during the early morning hours Friday our time. Shorts worried about any positive Afrezza mention will need to cover tomorrow. At the very least, I expect some short covering before Monday's close.
Longs: hang in there, MannKind has the greatest medicine and delivery technology available; just a matter of time before people wake up.

We certainly should know where we stand with Sanofi moving forward.

Someone's screwed either way and I sure hope it's the shorts and fudsters while longs and diabetics have something to celebrate!

Shorts have months/years before they "worry" outside of a bo which will not be announced this Friday let alone this year. Oh and if you think I'm speculating the same could be said ""just a matter of time before people wake up". Thanks for the koolaid.

I am sorry, but it is pretty obvious the shorts had the price action right, regardless of the fact that they had everything else wrong. Call it, perhaps, massive manipulation, if you wish, but I don't see anything in the immediate horizon that might change that. I keep wishing and hoping, and hoping and wishing... and I am starting to feel like an idiot.

inittowinit - I wouldn't be so sure that "We'll know where we stand with SNY on Friday". It wouldn't surprise me at all if Afrezza only receives a passing mention. IMO

History is full of good ideas that didn't happen until decades later. It's not enough to have the best most sensible technology. Electric cars have been around for over 100 years. The jet engine was around for at least a decade before anyone took it seriously. On a different extreme, marijuana was an accepted medicine for thousands of years, then it wasn't, now it is again. Clear and decisive action, including aggressive marketing and increased visibility are necessary. Where is the clamp study result? EU approval? What is the status? Not enough to make sense anymore, it's like listening to Janet Yellen threaten to raise interest rates. Not going to happen. Matt, Hakan, come clean with your captive retail investors.

If "investors" believe the RBC downgrade two days before Sanofi's presentation was a coincidence and sold, you are a fool. Wall Street knows how to shake weak hands; I don't see Al selling. What does that indicate? Good news will eventually arrive.

"They" were most likely much more informed on all the confidential parts of our agreement which allowed them to just act accordingly........ I agree with you and started having these feelings a couple months ago..... I once felt intelligent and empowered that I've taken control of my financial future by doing research and making decisions that were ahead of the game,,,,, then, suddenly, I'm underwater, I'm completely in the dark, I have no idea WTF I've invested in, and I feel like an absolute idiot... GLTA, but I just can't believe, after all this, that little ol me is going to suddenly be on the winning side when I'm playing against the house, and I know the least amount of information. Sorry, I'm pretty down at this point.

Sorry, I'm pretty down at this point. Hang in there. Do you need the money for something imminent? If not, then the research and due diligence you did before is not invalid unless a material event happens to make it invalid. The only way to make money in the stock market, rather than just exchanging it, is to buy into good companies that will eventually pay dividends and you as a part owner of that company receiving your portion of the revenue. While that may not come in the near term, there is a certainty that if you sell now, you will lose money. Remember that there does not have to be a winning and a losing side in the stock market. That only happens in trading. In the long run, you can win by not playing the game that the house has rigged, by buying partial ownership of good companies with good prospects. If you make enough such investments, you also hedge your risk that any one of them can fail. Be patient, diversify, and don't worry about the minor market noise. You will be rewarded in the long run.

" When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it" : Henry Ford. Did Henry Ford happen to make a memorable statement to buttress the spirits of someone who has been making a valiant and quite extraordinary effort to get his plane off the ground for several years? And absolutely ALWAYS against the wind? That's the pearl of wisdom I'm in need of right now.

I'm inclined to believe that it won't be much more than a "pep talk" for employees and a "sales pitch" to investors. All the "real" stuff is kept behind closed doors. So I doubt they will announce anything obviously significant to MNKD or afrezza. It''ll be more like over and over "we see what we gotta do and, by golly, we're gonna do it" -- except in French, of course.

But any mention of Afrezza by Sanofi should be sufficient to squash the short sellers' last supposition. Don't know what distorted lie they will come up with next if Sanofi comes through.
