mnholdem, I can almost guarantee you that the attendees have to sign a nondisclosure agreement. I have sat on several of these boards and had to sign a nondisclosure for each and every one. That is routine for this type of meeting. Very few people know what they will discuss. It is highly unlikely that anything will be disclosed after the meeting. All of the pharmaceutical industry does this for advisory boards. There may be some exceptions but I have never known of one.

I'm having cocktails and pretending I'm in San Diego. I think I'll watch Endless Summer and get some good Mexican food. and then have more cocktails - we are at 1.93 after all and I've added more shares this week....so yeah cocktails are in order.

Considering the poster is "anonymous - Guest" and this same statement is being repeated by about 30 posters [with negative credibility] on YMB, I am obliged to believe that this poster is likely one of the same YMB posters spreading misinformation [speculation(?)] across multiple boards.

the part about "you're not supposed to be drinking until you arrive" was probably genuine. But seriously, as a pharma vet I watch a couple of those boards and over the years you can recognize what's legit and what's not. Which is why I said disclaimers times 1000. It's mostly disgruntled employees posting on those boards but sometimes you get some security breaches late at night after tipping a few too many! jeremg What do you think is the best way to really support Mannkind outside of the comfort zone of an affirmative, moderated board like this one? I've done some blogging and got some readers, but my suspicion is there is no real impact.

Word of mouth. 6 degrees of separation theory. Start telling everyone you know who will listen and is interested and who you can incite enough to get them to keep the train going. Diabetes is one of the leading causes for impotence. Start putting the ED fear into your diabetic buddies' heads!

Don't get me wrong, I think this board is a great resource to support MNKD (pretty much due to the fact that it's moderated), an unbiased fact-based blog could be as well. I was referring to the statement made on Cafe Pharma that you linked to - " I believe the meeting is with Dexcom and Google Life Sciences and does not include any Reps." by "Anonymous - Guest". I guess it's technically possible [dare I say] that this could be some leaked insider information... but the usual suspects over on YMB have been yelling this sort of tune for many months now and these tidbits of "insider info" never turn out to be true [like never ever].

you can quote me, I'm a student doctor Haha, just kidding... Just do a quick google search. Type in "top causes of impotence" or "leading causes of Erectile Dysfunction". Not sure what kind of source you're looking for, whether it be a medical journal, or just something like a reputable magazine article.... I just did a quick google scholar search and it gave me this www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/conditionsandtreatments/diabetes-and-erectile-dysfunction

patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/WO2014012069A2/imgf000056_0001.pngIn a way, it is carbon coated, but you're right, it is WAAAAY simplified. For instance, CO (carbon monoxide), is not a safe molecule to inhale. It binds to hemoglobin in the blood and inhibits its ability to bind oxygen, essentially suffocating a person who inhales it. Hydrocarbons in gasoline eventually burn into CO2 and H2O. I'm sure many here know that we exhale CO2, but it can actually cause acidosis if we inhale too much of it back into our body. So carbon is actually not always ok to inhale. We'd actually be better off if we never inhaled it. The only time I can think that it would be beneficial to inhale carbon (other than medication of course) is during hyperventilation. You blood can actually become alkaline, so inhaling CO2 prevents alkalosis. Sorry for the science lecture. Figured I'd make use of info that feels worthless right now and share it with others. So, he's right about it being carbon coated, but incorrect about that being the reason why it's ok to inhale Afrezza. Ah yes, the old breathing into the paper bag for panic attacks !! Thanks for the support stevil, I was sure I read an article on a carbon coated inhibitor and MNKD, it was years ago, but I must have been confused, (imagine that), the article doesn't exist. I'll be a more careful to check before blogging next time. Thanks again

OK, as long as were are going down this road, here is a link from WebMD about vacuum erection devices of which many are purchased by people with diabetes. So in addition to crushing many other Rx and device manufacturers, Mannkind will also take a chunk of revenue from Viagra, Cialis and manufacturers of these things. Imagine the ad campaign of the value and simplicity of inhaling Afrezza vs using one of these things! Maybe Al should raise the price, no pun intended. www.webmd.com/erectile-dysfunction/vacuum-devices-for-erection-problems
