Wouldn't this require an SEC filing? Why would he miss such a golden opportunity to bring this back to the world. Even if he fails to do, atleast he tried and failed rather than just quitting.. I am sure DD is no loser If jay Olsen and other analysts that dropped Afrezza from Sanofi estimates knew before hand , why would Mannkind management not know this in advance? I am sure DD was / is prepared for this . If that's not the case , Al and team deserve this and we are the biggest fools for believing in them Agreed. Why leave yourself exposed to these kinds of discussions by forgetting to take the 5 minutes necessary to update a websiite than? It almost defies logic. Not having a picture is not a valid excuse.
Sanofi dumps on the 5th. The new CEO starts on the 5th. I get he needs to be shielded from the past on that day. All good. Now the 9th. No communication from him. No updated website after 4 days? Really? If this is enough to get us to talk about it (and I am certain we are not alone in having noticed this 'small detail') than it is a major problem whichever way you explain the fact Mann is still listed as CEO. Unless they are still deciding between a smiling DeSisto, and a praying DeSisto? I'm with you jpg, update the damn website or tell us monday he bailed.

Please stop. What real difference does it make at this point? If Duane DeSisto is not the CEO, there will be an announcement in due course. What will that change, really? Rather than continuing to find any axe to grind about the company, why not just sell your shares and move on? Very little is certain, but this is: The incessant (and I do mean incessant) whining on this board will not change the outcome of anything.

Harry, perhaps I am reading more into that last post than I should, but that is not exactly what I want as the new CEO for my CFO to be saying. In fact, it sounds like a rebellious (wish Hakan was still here) type message by a lame duck CFO. Maybe an off the cuff message by Matt who knows or thinks he's next (and perhaps should be).

I'm really not sure how to take Matt's statement but as of yesterday it seems that Mr. Desisto will be at the conference.

Well that part is positive I suppose given some of the other posts about him backing out. I never thought that. I was just responding to the implied tone of a C-level deflecting as a bystander until the new CEO spoke. It's not like these two haven't spoken I would think. Anyway, I see the intention of your post. Thanks.

At least this suggests that the new CEO seems to be the new CEO for at least this week...
It also seems to suggest Matt is less powerful than he once was. Maybe he isn't as busy and could update the website?

Maybe he isn't as busy and could update the website? He prob does over see the IT people, but perhaps too busy on the golf course, or maybe he thought Duane would get around to it. After all, they are victims and Duane has to figure this out.

MannKind Corporation's website for mobile devices still lists Diane Palumbo as Director of Human Services, even though I have emailed Matt about it several times to remind him that a large chuck of the population uses smart phones to access the corporate website. No response. Not fixed. Damn sloppy work IMO.

There should be no need for a web developer. Modern websites are built on content management frameworks that allow content (even menus and new pages based on templates) to be added with editing tools as simple as this message board. There is no excuse for not keeping the website up to date. I completely agree - it isn't difficult to update a website and for a new CEO - This should have been done the day his hiring was announced. Pathetic.

It isn't that sophisticated and doesn't need that software like the retail ecommerce sites need

I guess it is one of those little details that falls through the cracks. Sort of like a small business where you prioritize. Not making excuses for them- it should be right. It's about being organized.
That said, if someone is creating FUD over that they are going to make FUD over everything else anyway. The website does not affect the process of getting Afrezza in the hands of PWD. There are more important things to worry about. It's just one more thing that gets piled on after the week we have had.
All that said, we do need a strong leader. It can be done. Let's see what Duane is made of- give him a chance.

SAY - I understand the JPM conference to be invite-only for big investors, etc.
But it seems there are some surrounding activities, afterhours parties.
I could be in the City by the Bay on Wednesday or thereabouts (perhaps only evenings).
Anyone hear of anything re: Mannkind there other than the 3:30 presentation by DD? Or any personal knowledge on how to do something live there? Or have a solid line into Matt? Perhaps possible to meet this guy in person. Maybe he's attending some afterhours party that is open.
Message me if you know something and that makes more sense ..... Happy to be the Designated Stalker for this one for Team Proboards.
