This morning my wife got her first test results back since starting Aftezza. From 6.8 to 5.8 in less than 3 months (more like 10 weeks). It's amazing and I'm so happy for her, yet it drives the dagger even deeper. A few nights ago I watched her describe Afrezza, AGAIN, and what it has done for her to another group of friends while taking it at the dinner table in a restaurant.
WTF is going on?!?!?!?!?
The greatest drug ever created, for the largest health threat in the world, and it won't sell?!?!?
We're left to dissecting a mysterious start up company and the possibilities of medical marijuana!!!!
Our best scientist, with us for over a decade, is just gone?? With no confidential agreement?? Coincidentally to the start up company who is licensing our tech.
SOMETHING is not adding up. Either there's something wrong with Afrezza and I need to get my wife off of it, or we are all being robbed...
I try to stay patient, but if anyone were to tell me 12 months ago that I would be able to convince my wife and her Endo about Afrezza, it would be as amazing as I said, and we'd be fight to stay ove $1.00 I would never have believed it.

Two key players - Prescribers and Payors have to get on board. What does your wife's doc say about Afrezza? How many patients is your wife's doc recommending Afrezza based on her results? Insurance hurdles can be taken away faster than getting the docs on board.. I was thinking one patient per doc could change the landscape .. but not sure

Sorry iam2, I can't stomach a long post with the history of what it took to get her on Afrezza right now. If you look in my history you'll see me talk about it going back to around Oct/Nov.
Right now I'm just beside myself!!!! As she is texting me today, so happy, with a new goal of a non-diabetic 5.7, and how she couldn't have done it without me convincing her and her ENDO.... And I can't stomach to tell her how much of our $$ I've lost over this miracle drug.....
OH YEA!!!!!!!! Let's not get too wrapped up in the amazing A1c after 10 weeks, or how she feels, or that she can predict her bs better than ever, without remembering that she goes to bed EVERY NIGHT with ZERO fear of a midnight hypo!!!!!!!!
And it doesn't sell? The company is worth $1.
This is a fu@?ing joke!!!!

Sanofi is a joke. Afrezza will do fine, in my opinion.

Hopefully the new management team can eliminate all or, at the very least, most of the hurdles in our way. It doesn't matter how great a drug is if no one can get it.

I understand there are obsticals, regardless of how corrupt they are, including the label,,,, but people can get it, people HAVE it, she has it!!!!! Once we got her ENDO on board she had Afrezza in her hands in less than 2 weeks. Spiro test, easy, no problem. Cost $80 for 3 months. There's 30 million diabetics in this country and our script numbers are at 500 after a YEAR!!! The problem is, NO ONE has tried to sell it! NO ONE even knows about it!!!! Even when getting her first refill last week she had to educate the pharmacist, AGAIN, just like she did with the first script, just like she did with her ins rep, just like she did with her Spiro test, and just like she did with her ENDO! There is NO awareness of Afrezza out here in the real world, and that has been with the big bad SNY supporting us. Imagine the things that will be said thru the diabetic community, from their Endos, once SNY is against us too. We, as shareholders, better pray that there is a deal, or a bidding war, or something happening behind the scenes, because if we're really relying on "new management" in MNKD to sell this drug and "turn the ship" , with the current balance sheet, then we're all dumber than I feel right now.

I just want to know at this present time if your doc has commented on your wife's results... and if the doc would prescribe AFrezza to her patients ? If you str8 up asked your doc what she thinks how the results are

Been there done that.... same thing with my dad... " NO ONE even knows about it... " Most are negative about it too from our experience... Docs don't want to be bothered with it.. don't want the hassle of writing letters to insurance companies who have Afrezza on tier 4, don't want to learn about it.. etc etc etc....... someone has clearly dropped the ball... I am however very happy for your wife... Afrezza is amazing!!!!

To turn the ship around, maybe, we need to get 50 Cent to take the I-84 down from Farmington to teach these boyz how to start slangin dope. I hear he needs a new gig after last year beat him up, like it did MNKD. Allz we need is 50 all up in their grills to get this up in da club.

Your doc should know by her results that Afrezza is no joke. He would / should probably hear from your wife about the minimal effort that Afrezza requires and huge positive impact to reinforce the wonderful Afrezza.. Congrats .. Happy wife.. happy life And do post on Social media.. may be some one who knows her will benefit
