It keeps coming up over and over again in many unrelated threads. I thought it time to consolidate into a thread about MannKind Technosphere and Cannabis. Here's hoping WE can fill this thread with relevant information. Even if no work is being pursued at this time, should it be in the future? If so, what specifically? Who? Where? When? How?

let's start with the legitimate. - Medical marijuana use and research is legal within Washington State. - United States[edit] Cannabidiol (CBD) has received orphan drug status in the United States, for treatment of Dravet syndrome which will allow it to be studied.[56]
-UK -Cannabidiol, in an oral-mucosal spray formulation combined with delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, is a prescription product available for relief of severe spasticity due to multiple sclerosis (where other anti-spasmodics have not been effective).[57]
-GWPH In this study, patients taking Epidiolex achieved a median reduction in monthly convulsive seizures of 39 percent compared with a reduction on placebo of 13 percent, which was highly statistically significant (p=0.01).
Israel - "IN animal studies, exact optimal dosage of CBD for arthritis was found to be 5mg/kg.
screencast.com/t/6umatXajCPS
CBD definitely blocks the inflammation with clinical score. at 5mg/kg in clinical score.",
"if we give less than that we get less action, if we give more than that we get less action."
www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8EdQHWhAT8
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is a start there, Epilepsy. and it is legal. and the research on arthritis is good. solid. collaboration in Israel, UK, US and Canada.
also work with austim. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is one rub and I will say it right out. You think the insulin market didn't want to be disturbed by afrezza? However, what will the distribution channels be on these compounds? I think they are coming. Fracking came, oil out of rock.
added: regarding the above mention to fracking, GS was involved, with "peak oil" consider, Jay Olsen coverage pulled at GS for MNKD. GS now has no opinion.

Peppy, great work! Still think whoever RLS is , as a share holder we want it to be a big company. I have nothing to go on but this. There is soooo much money out there. (The central banks of all countries have been doing nothing but printing for years. ) Looking at what the laws are: It took cannabis lawyers in Washington nearly two years to determine the details regarding marijuana rules, regulations and licensing. Finally, in July 2014, Washington’s first licensed marijuana shops opened their doors for business, six months after Colorado’s first legal pot shops opened in January 2014. Washington’s four licensed marijuana dealers, located in the cities of Spokane, Seattle and Bellingham and the small farming town of Prosser, are selling government-regulated pot that has been tested for impurities. This legal marijuana carries a 25% sales tax, the majority of which has been earmarked for substance abuse research, education and prevention. www.nationalcannabislawfirm.com/laws-and-regulations/history-of-marijuana-legalization-in-washington-state/
Consider, if the marijuana growers, are behind this, legitimizing it, with studies and dosage control... there is a barrel of cash the industry has been sitting on.

TS can be so big? Wondering if this someday can be like Phillip Morris/Kraft? They break off into two companies and us share holders have stock in two companies?

60 cannabinoid constituents based on the same type of skeleton, could not be separated, isolated and looked at. *this has changed* in the 1960's THC was isolated.
The acids: *more in the PLANT than in dried marijuana. screencast.com/t/iP2Ky4snBe " potent" anti-inflammatory agents with no CNS activity to the best of his knowledge" "decarboxylates in marijuana."
*the endocannabinol system was not found in the human body until, he didn't give a date, the 60's or seventies, identified and given to NIH." (they found it with isomer trials.)

Isolating cannabidiol(CBD) from the marijuana plant is not even close to the same thing as recreational use.... the article you have posted is about THC use .. CBD is what is being referred to here... There is a marijuana plant that was developed in Colorado called Charlottes Web.. it doesn't get you high because it is low in THC and high in CBD .. and it sounds like from what Peppy is saying, there is a lot of research already done behind the medical uses of CBD.. I am defending it only because there seems to be a lot of misinformation and stigmas attached to the medicinal use of marijuana even though it can be very effective and helpful for patients.

THEN who: The growers. www.receptorlife.com/ Look at the picture. They have cash. They can not deposit the cash in banks in these moments. Hoards of cash looking for something to do.
Why: Matt is bringing Afrezza to market. Our partner has cash.

From NKTR 10-K filed May 9, 2005: "Inhaled MARINOL® (inhaled dronabinol) Program In February 2002, we entered into a collaboration with Unimed (“Unimed”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc., (“Solvay”) to develop a Metered Dose Inhaler (“MDI”) formulation of MARINOL® (dronabinol) to be used for multiple indications. MARINOL® capsules are approved in the U.S. for the treatment of anorexia associated with weight loss in patients with AIDS and for the treatment of refractory nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy. In the second quarter of 2003, Unimed initiated a Phase I trial. Under the terms of the collaboration, we are responsible for development of the formulation, as well as clinical and commercial manufacturing of the drug formulation delivery and device. Solvay is responsible for the clinical development and worldwide commercialization of the drug formulation and delivery device combination. We will receive research and development funding, milestone payments as the program progresses through further clinical testing, and royalty payments on product sales and manufacturing revenues if the product is commercialized." Solvay allegedly completed a phase 2 trial that started in 2005, but dropped the device in 2008 without specifying why. Also currently available are MDI like vaporizers -- for example: www.vapornation.com/puffit-vaporizer.htmlThese are for use with either the plant itself or with hashish. As far as cannabidiol, it's perfectly legal to buy CBD made from industrial hemp. I see no difference between CBD from hemp and CBD from medical marijuana.

Perhaps I took the picture too literally. We will see. Yeah, I didn't understand that apple thing, so release that. Have a good one seeker.

Not exactly true. As Bloomberg reported last October: Of the more than 7,600 banks and credit unions in the U.S., only 220 accept cannabis cash, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.

The big issue with banks, and in general, with regard to the topic IS that it is still illegal at the Federal level. That means FDIC, FDA, DEA, etc. IANAL, but I was taught that Federal trumps State by precedent. The fact that we are a Nation of Laws that WE pick and choose to enforce by WHIM is NOT reassuring for long-term success, business or otherwise. Of course, the cynic in me says to just make enough money to change the laws, and you'll be FINE. Lest we forget that much of this chaos started with one of my favorite Presidents, Richard Milhous Nixon. Anyway, I like Ike.
BTW, great job Peppy and all for the contributions so far! This thread is becoming what I had hoped.
