With a couple four-day weeks and people taking a lot of vacation from December 15 through January 10 you can't figure that script numbers will be very good at all for several weeks. It's a coiled spring! Waiting to explode!!!

Agree .. I'm Still taking the simplistic approach.. Two Amgen employees left to go to MNKD. Obviously Mike C talked the new guy in to coming over. I don't need anything further. We often try to make things more complex than needed instead of seeing what right in our faces.. good weekend to all sincere longs!!!

Right. And then they have to get all the new reps hired. Train them, and get them on the road in Feb. A few months IMO. There's always an excuse. Always something "going" to happen. Just a couple more weeks...... It is always 'stay tuned'. Wait. etc. Things do happen of significance with the business, but not for investors - other than perhaps more dilution. What I find remarkable is that even with all that, when I can't imagine the road can be that much farther (one way or the other) MNKD continues as a company, leaving open the potential of saving an investment. Unfortunately, I've only been on the ride through the long descent into Hades. For longs that were invested back during the days when the CRLs, etc were happening - they were at least able to also watch their investment increase in value at some point. Does that help or hurt more? Still waiting. I got nowhere else to go.

It was my very first stock. My girlfriend said, to just buy and hold for retirement. ( She still has all her shares) But I had a client very high up at Abbott. She told me it would never pass the 2nd FDA. She was right. But Jackie bought more at $3. I did not. By then I had made money buying the beaten down home builder stocks. I started doing DD on Al and the company. I thought, this company is not giving up! So I waited till the stock got below $3 again. I thought I'd ride it up to the 3rd FDA and sell. I went in big at 1.89. And held. By the time we got through the votes, hearing Sam speak, I was so excited I held.... Thank god I have not fallen in love with any of my other stocks. I don't play it like that. Then getting my clients kids on Afrezza. Seeing it first hand! That really changed my life. Being a part of something that had so much impact! Something so worth fighting for! Bottom line is that IMO they ARE NOT giving up:-) They are going to keep on truckin like they always have!

There's always an excuse. Always something "going" to happen. Just a couple more weeks...... I know what you mean but doesn't this time look a lot brighter? I mean look at all that's going on I think it's going to get exciting especially with the sponsoring of the reality show, tv advertisement and selling internationally, it seems like finally we have a plan and it's going to be our year. Hold out for the Stock price in the 20s Agree. While the can has been kicked down the road many times before, it's very different now for the reasons you mentioned and more. And for those doubting Vdex, they can relax. It's a start-up business model that always takes longer than planned but it's solid and I know for a fact that additional Vdex locations are scheduled to open in 2017.

This will take a lot of patience going forward. Still 12 to 24 months if we make it unless we get a buy in or buy out. Eyes are on the progress being made by Mannkind. The big Pharmas are watching as are the mid sized companies if the trend is positive somebody will step up and buy in or buy out. Current management has to prove they are a nimble fighter and can market and survive. Perhaps being the underdog is even an advantage as we saw how the big dog Sanofi didn't quite know or understand the product as they had too many drugs in their sales kit and AFREZZA was a grain of sand on their beach. How do little start up companies make it until being noticed by the big company. It happens in all product development and marketing. Look at all the little companies in the Pharma space or for that matter any type of product. There is always a struggle until the company makes it big. Happens in all industries. Eventually the little fish grows and gets swallowed up by the big whale.
Remember this will take Patience to get patients.

Me too but I sold at $21. Investing in any company is a 4 legged stool. Knowing the; management; the product; the market; and the engineers. At that point in time I did not know management but I knew the engineers who were telling me how great this will be. The day of the Exubera scare it opened at about $2.90 and I had a much better understanding of the 4 legs and became a true believer. Right now we are dealing with a marketing problem on several fronts. The good news is CGM technology is making some of the issues very visible.

One of my great finds as far as DD went was your posts on YMB. I thought I had hit pay dirt! I went back and read them all. (Someone who went way back and knew what has really happening!) Then later...Saxcmann, Rick, Judy, mnholdem, kc. You guys were my rock for along time until Afrezza came into the everyday life of my friends. I thank you all for that! And you're all still here:-)))

If the people you named were the rock for you, then you were the lighthouse...although I can only speak for myself. It certainly has been quite a journey.

Hold out for the Stock price in the 20s Of course these things have long been talked about, so the "plan" per se is not new. Question is when it will occur and the extent to which it can be afforded... and the extent to which the reimbursement and clinical acceptance in US is suitable to translate advertisement into sales. Reality TV is new. Wonder whether the focus will be on T1, T2 or both. I have no experience in reality TV development, but my uneducated guess would be that a show appealing to young T1s might not appeal to older T2s and vice versa. Haven't followed all the discussion here and missed the presentation by MNKD, so perhaps this has already been addressed/discussed.

Here is what Matt said (from the transcript) about the reality TV show at the presentation: "We also have a TV series we are sponsoring later in the year. We are still negotiating some of the aspects of that, but we hope we will hopefully [have] more details to announce for essentially reality TV show based on diabetes that we will sponsor and I think Afrezza will be – I hope we will be figuring prominently in that." Just enough to whet appetites and fuel hopeful speculation!

Okay, forgive me, but here's a Saturday afternoon p.s. to this developing (if contradictory) metaphor: We are indeed a determined band of brothers and sisters keeping an eye on whether our favored - and many flavored - fleet of ships really does make it to port. So all of us are in the proverbial lighthouse, flashing many lights, blowing more than a few horns, but with much enthusiasm, hope and belief in safe passage for all!

Seems sort of like how our appetites and speculation were previously fueled by management's talk of "social media".

true - Matt did up play vdex in Jan 2016 when sanofi dropped Afrezza saying 100's of locations and Afrezza prominently featured. May be better to keep expectations realistic.
