You' re comp aring apples or ora nges. Dam on Dash is a world apart from Vdex a nd its owner. Your're talk ing hollywood vs an unknown person. Pioneer in the hiphop scene. You keep your opinionated self to yourself, don't tell other people what they should and should not think/do. Apples to apples in the sense that it's a speculative idea. There is no finished product right now. They don't even know how much Afrezza will be featured. If that's the case, they probably haven't agreed to terms, meaning there isn't a deal yet. We don't even know if there is funding to create a whole season, if viewership will be high enough to justify more than a couple episodes, what network will feature it, etc. At this point, it sounds like it's still in concept mode, at least as much as it pertains to Afrezza. In other words, it's much like VDEX was at this point last year. There were tangible plans, but no results. What was hyped to be a potentially big deal yielded very little in reality. Only time will reveal an apple or an orange. Right now, I'd say things look a little redder than oranger. Maybe, just maybe, Damon Dash is an executive producer, actor, and screenwriter. Getting a gig shouldn't be a problem for him. He is literally a legend in his own right. I am confused as to why you want down play that? He has all the connections in hollywood. I wouldn't worry about what network, he won't have a problem getting on a network. It might be more of an "in the everday life of Damon Dash" type of show like all the other reality shows...and Who cares? The dude has so many connections and pull it is ridiculous to even suggest this it small time.

He is an A list hustler and a sharp guy and I have no doubt he owns shares but Damon Dash was no pioneer in hip hop. Road the coat tails? Dude you don't know Roc-A-Fella Records history to suggest such a ridiculous statement.

Correct Mango. I'm guessing whoever thinks DASH is a b list unknown (paraphrasing) they are probably a 60 year old white male republican. I apologize to people around 55-60 (since i'm in that range) who are a white male republican that know hip hop!!!!!!!

Have to admit, although not sure it's the right one, but the trailer on you tube was very interesting!

Correct Mango. I'm guessing whoever thinks DASH is a b list unknown (paraphrasing) they are probably a 60 year old white male republican. Bad guess. I never heard of Damon Dash until I heard about him on this board, and I am nothing close to a "60 year old white male republican". FWIW, I actually DO know some hip hop and rap. Just not the right stuff for me to have heard of Dash before, I guess. I suspect Dash is very very well known to some, but unknown to most. He may not be a 'b list unknown' (maybe he is 'b list relatively unknown'), but if you think he is 'a list' IMO you are kidding yourself. As an informal non-scientific measure, google gives me about 500,000 hits for 'Damon Dash' (and many of the hits on the first few pages at least are because he name dropped people like Beyonce and Jay Z). Even the 'b list' comedian 'Carrot Head' gets more google hits. I've never heard of anyone describe 'Weird Al' (who is obviously very successful) as 'a list' but even he has millions of google hits. Then you type in some actual 'a list' celebrities (Beyonce, Jay Z, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Chris Pratt, Tom Hanks, Amy Adams, etc.), and they each get 10s of millions.

I have little / next to no doubt that Dash has the connections to get a show done (assuming he is involved in the reality series Matt mentioned). And maybe it has something to do with this: www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/7476876/dame-dash-tv-filmonMy concern / belief is that relatively few people would be interested in watching an "in the everday life of Damon Dash" show. So I pray that is not the direction Mannkind is taking.

So I pray that is not the direction Mannkind is taking. Why do you assume MNKD is taking only 1 direction?

So I pray that is not the direction Mannkind is taking. Why do you assume MNKD is taking only 1 direction? I was speaking in the context of the reality series Matt spoke of. He said "a TV series we are sponsoring", not several of them. As it is (apparently) only a single reality series, I hope it is one with wide, mass appeal. The more eyeballs watching, the better. Maybe that is a pipe dream, but I can hope. (Of course there are other things in the works, like commercials, label changes, etc.)

I apologize to people around 55-60 (since i'm in that range) who are a white male republican that know hip hop!!!!!!! White republican senior citizen? Christ that's a good one. Although MNKD proboards is the community senior citizen forum so I guess I could understand why you would lump me into the category. I am 38, grew up in Queens (you know that borough next to Brooklyn) during the golden era of hip hop (and you probably wouldn't even understand what that means) in the 90's. I dj'ed hip hop (still have my records and can upload some pics if you like) as a teenager and have been to tons of hip hops shows meet both Dame and Jayz at Tramps in the city in the late 90's. My upbringing and surroundings (street smarts) is why I actually dont trust anyone or anything while all of you older folks believe anything and everything you read on the internet. So for you and Mango( and I would love to know where you two grew up and your age) who obviously understand the music that I grew up listening, and playing for hours (to the point I drove my parents insane) better then I do, I would love an explanation on why Damon Dash (Dont get it twisted I think he is the best thing to happen for MNKD and I did find out he is apart of a private equity group from a hedge fund buddy)is a pioneer of hip hop? How did he transform hip hop? If you want to say he helped bring Jay up I can understand that but a pioneer no way. If he was so talented he would not have gone broke numerous times. How many single hit records did he have?

While I agree DASH is a positive thing, he is not that caliber star you are making him out to be. He is not a legend. Go watch both State property movies. They are GARBAGE. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEK2stXFYtc watch them for yourselves He is not super wealthy. Its time to add you to the block list with the other bozos and their predictions

The first video I saw of Damon Dash "dame" talking diabetes also showed him lighting up a cigarette. Maybe we need to make sure our a b or c list celebrity isn't a patient contraindicated for Afrezza.

What does Damon Dash have to do with Vdex? Did he buy Vdex from Bill? Did I miss a press release? If Dash is planning to open those 100+ clinics, I am all for it.

Since we are still on this Dash thing... I've never heard of him. I don't listen to rap/hip hop specially, I just flip though the stations...
I bet I'm familiar with all the major players, just by hearing their names repeatedly. Dash...No
I'm 40 (by the way) so it's not like I'm completely clueless or on a completely different set of stations.
PS
Smoker = Idiot (in my book) though I'll give a pass on Pot for the medical benefits

But since you mention Damon Dash, IMHO, I believe that we (MNKD) can find a better front man to represent the brand and be the face of AFREZZA. GLTA TRUE LONGS!
