One-half of the temptation to buy comes once underwater water longs realize how little it now costs to cut their $/share average in half...and perhaps half again. The other half of the temptation is fueled by the realization that the DTC marketing hasn't begun. Nate's been continuously averaging down because he expects a turn around to begin any day. If he's right about an Afrezza sales turn-around, he'll likely become a multi-millionaire.

If Deerfield wanted to drive MNKD into bankruptcy to take over the company, the why the exchange of debt for stock? MNKD only has to come up with another $10 million to meets this year's payment of principal. In addition, after this payment, the Mann Group has about as much stake in MNKD as Deerfield with its debt and stock holdings. It will not sit by and see Deerfield render those worthless. Not knowing what is going on behind the scenes is driving me crazy just as much as any of you, but there seems to be a chance that Deerfield is indeed trying to give MNKD some leeway. Looks to me like MNKD does not have the $10 million still due on the principal payment, but that it will have the money by the July due date, otherwise why pay only the $4 million now? My take is that management is working on some means of funding and Deerfield is buying the story. Without having any idea of what the plan is, though, I am trying not to be too optimistic. While I see the Deerfield deal as a positive, for the moment, we are not out of the woods yet. 10 Million is better than zero. Nate's blog sounds like the same kind of blog written by Matt Margolis prior to the GTAT bankruptcy.

Glad I can blend into my surroundings. Was nice knowing you Silent. Or wait, I really am you Actually I'm pretty much in line with Nate as to action... he recommends wait and see according to this. DBC, you're cool, at least with me. You've always had a well balanced opinion and listened to both the good, bad, the Ugly and the over the top cat in the hat scenarios. I just hope that when this Deerfield speculation is laid on the table, long term shareholders get a piece of the pie, I believe they will. Good Luck to you

If he were to issue a sell call, what would happen to his news letter? How many subscribers are there for anything outside of MNKD? Sell MNKD, say goodbye to monthly paying customers.

From memory he has quite a bit of other stocks that are recommended and the majority of them were up with some up quite a bit. So I don't think his newsletter will suffer too much...just the ones that only bought into MNKD will be mad but I doubt there are too many of those type of subscribers.

There are two threads dedicated to Nates wisdom on this board. You sure about that? Sure about what? I also bought Apple and Disney in 2015 at Nate's recommendation (they were in his "Core Stocks" group, while MannKind was not).

Congrats on needing a news letter to buy Apple. He recommended it back in 1998 when it dropped below $1...and kept it in his newsletter....and people were calling him crazy back then too... According to this website two of his recommend list is at the top for fifteen year performance - hulbertratings.com/15-year-scoreboard/

I am also waiting for concrete evidence of turning around (script count) before buying more MNKD shares. Buying from the open market is like to give free money to shorts. I suggest MNKD to sell shares directly to current shareholders to raise money. At least I would know my money is put into good use.

I want to be optimistic as well but the facts indicate otherwise. Blind optimism borders on naivete. At some point we all have to face the facts. Could this turn around? Sure, but if something sustainable doesn't happen soon you have to admit, we're toast.

People asking for help getting their kids on Afrezza. The interest has picked up quite a bit to say the least. My client Tom with the kids on Afrezza is in contact with VDex. There are things happening that I would think soon will show up in scripts:-) Don't write us off yet!
