C'mon sports, you can't deny the trend here. I want to be optimistic as well but the facts indicate otherwise. Blind optimism borders on naivete. At some point we all have to face the facts. Could this turn around? Sure, but if something sustainable doesn't happen soon you have to admit, we're toast. Well my reality is different than some. You wouldn't believe the DM's I get. People asking for help getting their kids on Afrezza. The interest has picked up quite a bit to say the least. My client Tom with the kids on Afrezza is in contact with VDex. There are things happening that I would think soon will show up in scripts:-) Don't write us off yet! If you feel like it share more information. Are they kids who are untreated now? Are they unhappy with their current treatment, why? What excites them about Afrezza? ... and whatever else you feel comfortable sharing.

I want to get back in and make some money back. I just haven't seen anything that leads to believe anything good is happening and the clock keeps ticking. I believe this could turn quickly if something sustainable happens but I'm not ready to risk any more capital on that assumption. I need the proof first.

Long time Lurker, Ex long, Fan of Nates
I have been a subscriber and fan of nates for many years. Nate has helped me make some amazing investment decisions. I got into the likes of NXPI, SWKS, NVDA, CBST, CELG and APPL long before it was hip or cool and thankfully saw my investments in those stocks soar. Yes I lost a lot of money on MNKD and while I respect all opinions on here I am not sure I see a rosy future for MNKD stock but I find it hard to take too much issue with Nate. Even though I lost a lot of money because I followed his lead with MNKD I made a lot more by following his advice with other stocks.
I do however think that Nate became obsessed with MNKD to the point where I am not sure that he is doing his subscribers a service. From the point of view of his personal portfolio he should do what he wishes but from the point of view of his subscribers I wonder if his obsession is driving away new subscribers that did not participate in the massive runup of his earlier picks. I also wondered if the time and energy spent would be better spent by finding new ideas or better ideas.
Nate is human and is capable of making mistakes and although I don't think his initial interest in Mannkind was a mistake I do think that his current obsession with MNKD in his newsletter is.
Hopefully for those still in MNKD he will be right but for myself I will continue to follow Nate but will no longer throw any money at MNKD.

Those are some beautiful charts of the tickers mentioned above. I would love to see a factor Analysis on nates portfolio. I suspect there is positive alpha but you never know. Biotech is risky.

I had posted a link to a sight that track fund/newsletter performances and for the fifteen year period Nate's two "funds'" returns were on top (20+% and 19+%).

I'll throw in a first hand story. There are some principal doctors at a major hospital in the LA area who are T1 and one of the executive assistants is T2. They are all excited about Afrezza and these endos already have some patients on Afrezza and they love it. Soon the best MNKD advocate will go visit them for a one on one and that would be the first time ever. The lack of presentations and advertising is way too late in my opinion, regardless of the other excuses we have heard. I would say better late than never, however at our cash level I am afraid this "late" may be too late and that would be a crying shame.

One mother is frantic for Afrezza! Her Endo won't prescribe and her son is lieing about his dosing. He hates shots and his blood sugar is out of control. She wanted my help on how to convince the doctor. I gave her some info that compound put together for me. And told her if that doesn't work then a GP would be the way to go! And Mike will find her a doctor in her area:-)

Pediatric studies aren't done by MNKD, right? I could be wrong.. Also, what happens when kids/anyone take a higher dose? Everything just goes out of the system within 2 hrs, and no more hypos after that?

Because parents don't take no for a answer!

Because parents don't take no for a answer! Sorry about my ignorance! How does off-label work? You just pay full price provided it's prescribed to you by a Dr? Can a foreigner start using this method to buy Afrezza? If so, shouldn't MNKD start exploring that option like yesterday? Rather than profitability ATM, we need the perception of some change, which is scripts growth *NOW*. Can MNKD reduce price for such purchases (if and when they start to fill the orders directly?)

The doctor just writes a script. It's called off-label because the FDA hasn't approved for under 18 yet. It doesn't matter, a lot of meds are off-label. The insurance still pays. My clients kids have Health Net.
Out of the country they will have to pay out of pocket. And MNKD could charge what ever they want.
I know it's all very confusing:-) With some insurance paying and some giving people such a hard time. But that is what MNKD cares is for...

Lets say, wealthy people from Canada, India, China, middle east want to buy Afrezza. Can MNKD do some kind of direct selling to such people (cheap/whatever price) until they get clearance to do it directly? I know they have to pay the full price. But, I'm sure there are tons of rich (and smart) people all over the place. Is this illegal for MNKD?
