cool. Looks like 4 of the positions are for Texas where Diabetes America had closed their 12 clinics in April and May. Two of their clinics were in San Antonio and Sugarland where it appears MKND is seeking to hire the four for.

Was it a quality issue or financial?

"“The business model did not fit into the current reimbursement model that we’re dealing with in today's world of accountable care,” said Joan Colgin, nursing commissioner on the Texas Diabetes Council. The council advises state and federal governments on establishing diabetes programs and measuring outcomes."
From their website: diabetesamerica.com/
"After May 5, 2017, all Diabetes America locations will be closed permanently."

They aren't the first to have failed financially with diabetes clinics. Sadly this is what makes me question whether VDex can be successful and grow.

every office visit that is out of network costs the patient. Vdex has something special Afrezza, something you can not get anywhere, in a high population density setting. and vdex has dosing instructions that will allow the user success. www.seventhform.com/vdexdownloads/vdex-whitepaper-072817.pdf page 22.
Comments Afrezza’s speed of action is both a blessing and a curse. Clearly, it is a large factor in the safety of the product, but for longer meals, you may need more Afrezza to keep the post prandial levels in check. We recommend follow-on doses. For example, we advise with a standard meal to dose Afrezza 15-20 minutes after the start of the meal, and then another dose of the same size about 45 minutes later. With very long meals, we have even advised patients to administer two follow-on doses, for very tight control.
So probably happy patients.

Three new positions today: ( link -> rew12.ultipro.com/MAN1011/JobBoard/ListJobs.aspx ) 10/19/2017 17-0050 Sr. Manager, Pricing Strategy & Operations Westlake Village CA 10/19/2017 17-0051 Marketing Manager/Senior Marketing Manager Westlake Village CA 10/19/2017 17-0052 Sr. Manager, Patient Access & Reimbursement Westlake Village CA These sound like the types of positions that correspond nicely to a lot of concerns posters here have had - pricing, marketing, access. Also should free up valuable resources like Mike C. to pursue bigger picture agendas.

falcon are you long MNKD shares once again? You are typing like a stakeholder. No. I want to buy back in but our current cash status makes it too risky in my opinion. Once Mike can prove that he can sell something and has a more comfortable cash runway then I will look for an opening. Thus far I have not been given a solid reason to risk what little capital I have left on this venture. Talk about hard to please. Mike just sold $61M at $6 a piece. Our cash position is 3 times better. There will always be the next goal but don't let it be too high even for the falcon.

Hmmmm, that opening seems to be......opening up.
