No representatives of any kind have called on me or anyone here for several months. The company is mute as best I can tell. I guess they are focusing on other territories.

This is all too common a story. I know Dr Honeycutt well. He knows what a great medication Afrezza is and what it has done for patients.

Has anyone tried within the past 1-2 weeks to email Matt. If you did email him did you get any response?

Sanofi rep just told me that they had a company teleconference with their reps today, actually 2 teleconferences with the content of both teleconferences being the same. According to that teleconference Sanofi will continue to provide representatives in the field and sampling of Afrezza until April 4. Sanofi will completely turn Afrezza back to Mannkind as of July 4. Not sure exactly what happens between April 4 - July 4. According to the representative they were told during the teleconference that it was Sanofi that terminated the agreement with Mannkind. For many of us that have prescribed Afrezza the biggest concern is whether or not Afrezza will continue to be available for our patients in the coming months.

Hi All, I haven't posted in awhile. I had a family crisis that rocked my world a bit. It helped me to realize that I got a little too absorbed into the ups and downs of Mannkind. I thought i would give you a quick experience I recently had regarding Afrezza. I have a friend who has been a Type 2 for 15 years. I finally got up enough courage to talk to him regarding Afrezza. He said that he hated needles and has therefore avoided moving to insulin because of the shots. (Sounds familiar?). And like so many that have posted before, when I told him about Afrezza he leaned forward and asked for more info. It was amazing. He had never heard of Afrezza before. He was so excited. He has sense told another friend and is now exploring Afrezza with his doctor. HOW CAN AFREZZA NOT SUCCEED??!!! Sigh......... I want to leave a holiday thought with all of you. Don't get so absorbed with this stock that you forget what is really important. It's family and friends!!! So turn off the computer for awhile and hug someone important to you. Enjoy being alive. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. CCI Welcome back, have been wondering where you were. I hope all is well for you now. Have a blessed holiday season. I like how you think.

I know that today everyone is getting caught up in the Martin mania. But I would like to know, what do you think about this new patent? Is this of any significance? And has such a patent been applied for in the USA?

As I suspected. Like I have said previously, very few know what was discussed at the meeting and who attended. I sat on a diabetes ad board about a month ago and I can guarantee you that no more than 40 or so people know what was discussed. These type of meetings are typically tight lipped. But I was able to confirm that this particular was an advisory board meeting. Can't tell you how I confirmed it, you just have to trust me on this. I do not want to lose my information source. what are advisory boards responsible for? ( atleast relative to this case?) To discuss whatever the company wants to discuss and get input on. Beyond that vague statement it is hard to say.

How do you know for sure that type 2 diabetic patients were excluded? I may have missed something. I don't for certain. Anecdotal. As I suspected. Would love to hear of a similar meeting with T2's exclusively...but perhaps the powers that be are compiling data from T1's for T2's to eventually follow for optimal results? More thoughts on why T2's were excluded? docfrezza? liane? How do you know for sure that type 2 diabetic patients were excluded? I may have missed something.

Can't tell if this is sarcasm or legit(?), hasn't this guy reported like Oct. - Nov. - and Dec. as well? He posts on YMB a lot, here not so much... usually a sign he's into reading and writing nonsense exclusively. I choose to believe him. He and docfrezza have always seemed to post very accurate info from the trenches imo. And i for one appreciate when they choose to speak up Thank you. I will continue to post only information that is verified.

Looking forward to next month in Del Mar and SD. Going to see the unbelievable acoustic guitarist Tommy Emmanuel. An absolute legend.
Tommy Emmanuel is awesome!! I have seen him twice. If you have the opportunity to request ask for Lewis and Clark and/or No More Goodbyes.
I realize this is not necessarily appropriate for this board but Tommy is the best.
Docfrezza, I know you posted a couple days ago that people attending these type of meetings have to sign NDAs, so we probably won't hear anything from the meeting. In your experience from being at some of these meetings, what was the purpose of holding them for the Pharma company? was it to gain a better understanding of the drug? Or maybe use some of the info to set up a new study? Thanks. There is no way to say. They could be looking at the clamp study, they could be asking about advertising, they might just want to see what early adopters thought about Afrezza from either the practitioner view or the patient view. Or any one of hundreds of other ideas. There is just no way to know without hearing from someone who attended. Of the several I have attended the discussions were usually introducing new marketing ideas and getting input from those attending. But with Afrezza who knows. So far nothing that has happened seems normal. And what a great product.
