Looks like this was written from the news release as the Daly quote is verbatim. It appears the writer did not pull Afrezza which is buried in the release under the company profile.
Perhaps the writer missed it or was limited by space. MNKD could or should identify their product earlier in the release or in the heading. They also could have highlighted the fact that Daly uses Afrezza which he mentioned on social media.
I don't see this article as a disaster. There should be plenty of opportunity for MNKD/Daly to highlight Afrezza leading up to the race in May.

I understand that his car will be in the shape of an inhaler.
But, that's mytakeonit

Mnkd should install a hands free snickers bar holder and a hands free dreamboat holder in his car. If his dexcom says he is low he can eat the candy bar. If he goes high he can take a hit of afrezza. Can't do that with a needle.
Mnkd can make a commercial showing him using his hands free dreamboat while driving.
(By the way, for those of you stuck in the previous century, modern race car speedometers are digital, no needles.)

The car, the pit crew the needle...oh so many commercials about speed, use and delivery that they could make without mentioning them or being in FDA violation. The metaphors that can be dropped into each commercial! Outstanding.

I like this thinking better than the "quick in and out" theme. Anyway, it's all set up now and all Conor Daley has to do is win the race. We'll do a snap on inhaler over his car for the victory lap.

Lets hope they get something out with more relevant information, before the race.

Afrezza should be absolutely mentioned specifically in the heading as opposed to "treatment options." In re-reading the release, Afrezza is not even mentioned! I would like to see some promo material soon of the vehicle with the MNKD/Afrezza logos, etc.

We will be lucky to have a 3”x5” sticker on the back bumper. The prerace parties and human interest story is where we will be able to showcase Afrezza. Give away gadgets may also get people to notice the product.
